Pictured above are 9 Spring 09 trend tips for her.

Here’s a quick list of the Spring trends for her you can now find in the stores…

1.  Borrowed From The Boys:  Stay ahead of this trend and get a deconstructed jacket now so you can wear it all season long and into next year as well.  With a deconstructed jacket, fit is everything.  Also we here at Style Seen Daily have been seeing some trendsetters throw a wide belt over this look as well and pairing it with tight pants for a more night time sexy cutting edge look. Can also wear it with jeans and a crisp white shirt for work wear, over a floral dress to give a feminine look a more edgy feel, with short shorts to show off your legs…  this jacket can be worn with almost everything and you will be seeing it everywhere this Spring.

2.  In The Nude:  Pick up a pair of nude shoes to help elongate your legs.

3.  Statement Jewelry:  Costume jewelry to real gems, the more jewelry the better.  Remember Heidi Klum at the Oscars with her huge earrings and numerous bracelets?  It’s not about wearing jewelry as a back drop, it’s having the jewelry take center stage.

4.  Jumpsuits & Rompers:  A take from the 80s, these onesies are quick to throw on and help you look put together fast — sort of like what the wrap dress did several seasons ago.

5.  Platforms:  70s inspired designs are back in full force, including retro platforms.  Designers are taking the “high” in high heeled shoes very seriously this season.  Ladies, it’s time to reach new heights.

6.  Romantic Ruffles:   Spring is also about love, and ruffles help to give you that soft, flirty feminine appeal.

7.  Blue Oceans:  Take note, blue is a popular color this season.

8.  The Goddess Dress: Spring 09’s “it” dress.

9.  Neo Hippy:  Again a take from the 70s era, loose flowing peasant tops are gaining momentum.

Wondering what’s the latest in men’s fashion?  Well here’s a quick list of the Spring trends for him you can now find in the stores…

1. Casual Chic: Also known as “California Style.”  Includes graphc t-shirts, plaid shorts and twill jackets.

2.  Boardroom Bound:  Look for classic investment items in shades of blue and gray but make sure they fit perfectly, and if not make sure to find a great tailor.

3.  Check Please:  Bright plaid shirts are great for the hot weather.  Can be worn under a suit jacket for the work week or over a graphic t-shirt for the weekend.

4.  The Denim Story:  Black, white, gray jeans are great for moving into Spring ‘09.  Keep your blue jeans, but try to hold off on wearing them as much and incorporate these fashion forward, yet staple, colors.

Style Seen Daily  attended the “Montblanc Signature For Good Gala Benefitting UNICEF” held at the Los Angeles Paramount Lot during Oscar 2009 weekend.

It almost felt like the Oscars itself, as a slew of A listers dressed to impress came out to support this major charity initiative for worldwide literacy.   We talked one on one with all the stars present, and have an exclusive photo of Reese Witherspoon (who donated $50,000 to the charity!).

Style Seen Daily gives you an exclusive look inside the Montblanc & UNICEF charity event with host Reese Witherspoon.

The ‘Montblanc Signature for Good’ activity is one of Montblanc’s major charity initiatives in 2009. Their kick-off event unveiled 12 portraits of Internationally known actresses Emily Blunt, Marcia Cross, Andie MacDowell, Helen Hunt, Lauren Hutton, Milla Jovovich, Jessica Lange, Eva Longoria, Sienna Miller, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon, and Mira Sorvino.  These portraits are currently up for auction to raise money for UNICEF’s effort to combat illiteracy.  Every single actress came out to the event to show their support.

Andie MacDowell told us directly her thoughts on the portraits:  ”It’s a really glamorous way to bring attention to a very important need about education for countries all over the world.  I have been very blessed, I have a great life, I have wonderful opportunities and I don’t take it for granted.  I like doing charity work and I think eventually I will end up just doing that.”

MacDowell was not shy about revealing her true thoughts on why she thinks her photo turned out so great, “Well I’m 50 years old and it’s kind of a stupid thing to say but the lighting was really really good.  Great hair and make up, they made me look so beautiful!”

Sienna Miller also enjoyed participating in the project and said to us:  ”It was not like a normal photo shoot because it was not just posing. They gave us characters from novels.  I was Natasha from Warner and I loved it because I had a role to get into which is easy because I’m an actress and it made it easier for me.  I’m not very good at just standing there and posing. It was fun we had such a good time.”

And Eva Longoria shared to us: “When they asked me to do it I thought why not?! It’s only 2 hours out of my day to do a photo shoot and it will help millions of kid all over the world.”

Guests arrived dressed in old Hollywood glamour, and we watched as the lovely Dita von Teese took the carpet wearing a silk chiffon Christian Lacroix gown, from the 2008 collection, the long draped skintone dress had a copper bow, pink ombre train, matching clutch and Dita had a Montblanc bow necklace.

Inside the event, Montblanc, SIGNATURE INTERNATIONAL and UNICEF unveiled the images shot by American photographer Roger Moenks where each actress portrayed a heroine from one of literature’s timeless classics, including Scarlett O’Hara from Margaret Mitchell’s “Gone with the Wind”, Juliet from Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”, Marguerite Gauthier and from “La Dame aux Camélias” by Alexandre Dumas.

Each actress signed the Limited Edition photo on arrival of the event, and the CEO of Montblanc International,  Lutz Bethge, revealed all images in a dramatic drop of a curtain.  Lutz stressed the importance of the initiative stating, “Support of the underprivileged cannot stop when times are tough. We are very proud to benefit from the support of these 12 extraordinary ladies to take our work with UNICEF one step further and enhance our joint commitment to support education programmes.”

Unveiling of the portraits

After the ladies were introduced and their stunning portraits revealed, Michael York invited the 250 guests to a sit down dinner where Reese Witherspoon presented UNICEF with a huge $50,000 check that she personally donated.

The 12 pictures have begun their world tour, which will last 6 months, in various Montblanc activities, then will head back to Los Angeles to be auctioned off on September 8th, 2009, International Literacy Day.

Recipients of the portraits will get the personally signed picture of the individual actress and a precious version of the Montblanc Meisterstück, the legendary and timeless writing instrument that is celebrating its 85th anniversary this year, a rare limited edition of only 12 pieces worldwide, dedicated to UNICEF.

UNICEF and Montblanc have shared an important common goal over the years – working together to fight illiteracy around the world by giving the “power to write” to underprivileged individuals. In previous years the Power To Write campaign has raised over 1 Million USD in Montblanc boutiques across the world towards education programmes initiated by UNICEF.

Supermodel stripes down naked in Allure's April 2009 issue to show off her skin care regimen.Supermodel Cindy Crawford bares it all in Allure’s April 2009 issue to show off her skin care regimen.

Women are shouting from the rooftops, 40 is the new 30, 30 is the new 20 and 20 is just… well too young and fresh to be worrying about the ticking age meter.  And even men are getting into this shrinking number game as well.  Take Jay-Z’s “30 is the new 20″ line he repeatedly raps in his “30 something lyrics” hit song. But it’s more than just a vein saying, it’s quickly turning into actual fact.  Even scientists are starting to agree to this new age concept, as published on Medicine Online.

And if you are not sure you believe this hype… well then all you must do is take a look at 43 year old Supermodel Cindy Crawford and we here at Style Seen Daily will bet that whoever the naysayer is will become a believer in a milosecond.  Crawford stripes down naked in Allure’s April 2009 issue to show off how she continues to defy her age.  ”I think I look pretty good for 43. But I don’t look the way I did when I was 23,” says Crawford.  Well she may not look like she did back in the day, but we here at Style Seen Daily think she comes pretty darn close.

But cheating sagging skin and age spots doesn’t just happen, it takes work.  Crawford reveals several of her beauty tricks to Allure.

For younger looking hair she advises: “You can get any plastic surgery in the world, but hair color is what enables women to look younger longer. I’ve also become more aware of hair health…I give myself a hair treatment when I’m in my sauna to keep it conditioned.”

For that youthful plump looking silky smooth skin Crawford says she has a skin care regimen that includes lots of cream,”a day cream with antioxidants, a sunscreen, a night cream, … an eye cream … microdermabrasion …” as well as making sure to pay special attention to the skin on her hands, neck and chest.

“In some ways, my skin is better now than it’s ever been. I used to get more pimples, and my pores could look big. But through skin care, microdermabrasion, and possibly aging, my skin has gotten less oily and evened out a bit. Maybe it’s my last hurrah before I start falling apart [laughs].”
