Pictured above are 9 Spring 09 trend tips for her.

Here’s a quick list of the Spring trends for her you can now find in the stores…

1.  Borrowed From The Boys:  Stay ahead of this trend and get a deconstructed jacket now so you can wear it all season long and into next year as well.  With a deconstructed jacket, fit is everything.  Also we here at Style Seen Daily have been seeing some trendsetters throw a wide belt over this look as well and pairing it with tight pants for a more night time sexy cutting edge look. Can also wear it with jeans and a crisp white shirt for work wear, over a floral dress to give a feminine look a more edgy feel, with short shorts to show off your legs…  this jacket can be worn with almost everything and you will be seeing it everywhere this Spring.

2.  In The Nude:  Pick up a pair of nude shoes to help elongate your legs.

3.  Statement Jewelry:  Costume jewelry to real gems, the more jewelry the better.  Remember Heidi Klum at the Oscars with her huge earrings and numerous bracelets?  It’s not about wearing jewelry as a back drop, it’s having the jewelry take center stage.

4.  Jumpsuits & Rompers:  A take from the 80s, these onesies are quick to throw on and help you look put together fast — sort of like what the wrap dress did several seasons ago.

5.  Platforms:  70s inspired designs are back in full force, including retro platforms.  Designers are taking the “high” in high heeled shoes very seriously this season.  Ladies, it’s time to reach new heights.

6.  Romantic Ruffles:   Spring is also about love, and ruffles help to give you that soft, flirty feminine appeal.

7.  Blue Oceans:  Take note, blue is a popular color this season.

8.  The Goddess Dress: Spring 09′s “it” dress.

9.  Neo Hippy:  Again a take from the 70s era, loose flowing peasant tops are gaining momentum.

Wondering what’s the latest in men’s fashion?  Well here’s a quick list of the Spring trends for him you can now find in the stores…

1. Casual Chic: Also known as “California Style.”  Includes graphc t-shirts, plaid shorts and twill jackets.

2.  Boardroom Bound:  Look for classic investment items in shades of blue and gray but make sure they fit perfectly, and if not make sure to find a great tailor.

3.  Check Please:  Bright plaid shirts are great for the hot weather.  Can be worn under a suit jacket for the work week or over a graphic t-shirt for the weekend.

4.  The Denim Story:  Black, white, gray jeans are great for moving into Spring ’09.  Keep your blue jeans, but try to hold off on wearing them as much and incorporate these fashion forward, yet staple, colors.

Supermodel stripes down naked in Allure's April 2009 issue to show off her skin care regimen.Supermodel Cindy Crawford bares it all in Allure’s April 2009 issue to show off her skin care regimen.

Women are shouting from the rooftops, 40 is the new 30, 30 is the new 20 and 20 is just… well too young and fresh to be worrying about the ticking age meter.  And even men are getting into this shrinking number game as well.  Take Jay-Z‘s “30 is the new 20″ line he repeatedly raps in his “30 something lyrics” hit song. But it’s more than just a vein saying, it’s quickly turning into actual fact.  Even scientists are starting to agree to this new age concept, as published on Medicine Online.

And if you are not sure you believe this hype… well then all you must do is take a look at 43 year old Supermodel Cindy Crawford and we here at Style Seen Daily will bet that whoever the naysayer is will become a believer in a milosecond.  Crawford stripes down naked in Allure’s April 2009 issue to show off how she continues to defy her age.  ”I think I look pretty good for 43. But I don’t look the way I did when I was 23,” says Crawford.  Well she may not look like she did back in the day, but we here at Style Seen Daily think she comes pretty darn close.

But cheating sagging skin and age spots doesn’t just happen, it takes work.  Crawford reveals several of her beauty tricks to Allure.

For younger looking hair she advises: “You can get any plastic surgery in the world, but hair color is what enables women to look younger longer. I’ve also become more aware of hair health…I give myself a hair treatment when I’m in my sauna to keep it conditioned.”

For that youthful plump looking silky smooth skin Crawford says she has a skin care regimen that includes lots of cream,”a day cream with antioxidants, a sunscreen, a night cream, … an eye cream … microdermabrasion …” as well as making sure to pay special attention to the skin on her hands, neck and chest.

“In some ways, my skin is better now than it’s ever been. I used to get more pimples, and my pores could look big. But through skin care, microdermabrasion, and possibly aging, my skin has gotten less oily and evened out a bit. Maybe it’s my last hurrah before I start falling apart [laughs].”

Don't be afraid to go on it and shop... but make sure you have a plan of attack.

Don't be afraid to go on in and shop... but make sure you have a plan of attack.

By Crystal Fambrini

Step one:  Make a list of what you want to buy for your closet, don’t hold back.

Why bother with a list?

Well it’s common for people to write out grocery lists, so why not have the same plan of attack with your wardrobe as well.  It’s important that before you write out your list that you actually check what’s in your closet, so to avoid buying things you may already have. Hey, sometimes people forget what they own!  Come on, we all have those friends with clothes in their closets with the tags still on…  that’s what I’m referring to.  They just scream “wear me” but their owner keeps forgetting.

Step two:  Review list again, circle “must have” items and underline “splurge” items.

What’s the difference?

A “must have” item is for example a piece of clothing that you do not have and truly really need.  For example, you have a vacation and just lost a ton of weight and want to ditch your one piece for a bikini.  That’s a must have.

A “splurge” item would be if you already had a bikini from last season and you want another one to switch out on your trip.  It’s not mandatory, but it would be nice to have options.

Step three:  Review “must have” items and determine your budget.

How much to spend on a must have?

If it’s a basic piece, ie:  white pants, black pants, pair of jeans, black shirt, buttoned down shirt, fresh white shirt, black basic shoes, brown basic shoes.

Or if you think it’s a basic piece but not sure what that means because you don’t see it in the list of items above, let me be more specific.  A basic piece is something that you can wear to get a variety of looks.  You can dress it up, dress it down.  Pair it with almost any color.  It’s an item of clothing you can have in your closet for years.  It won’t go out of style because “basics” don’t.  These items do wear out though and need replacing (many overlook this, clothes don’t last forever).

It’s important with these basics, that it fits extremely well and will last.  So, because of this, it’s worth it to INVEST in your basics.  Buy the best quality you can afford.

Now, let’s look at those “splurge” items.

Step four Option A: If you have money to burn, review “splurge items”

Hey you have the extra cash, take advantage of it and buy those splurge items.  Just make sure you don’t over extend yourself.  The longer you are going to have something, or the more you are truly going to wear it, then it’s worth the extra dollars.  But if you just want a new dress to wear a couple of times then try to refrain from a full out splurge so you can also buy something else as well.

Option B:  If you do not have all the money to burn, I’m not saying you can’t have those “splurge items”  but just not yet….

Remember, and this is key to budgeting, an item may be a splurge now but in this economy it could become a steal much faster than normal!

Patience is the key to a good deal.

Normally you wouldn’t be able to pick up a this season trend until the season is practically over.  Not anymore.  Give it a few weeks, and if you still want that item during that time, revisit the store and chances are it will be on sale.  Or write down the information on the item and call up and ask.  Or let the sales person know you like the item and want to buy it, but are waiting for it to go on sale.  Oftentimes, and if you are nice to the sales associate, they will call you when it’s on sale.  Score!

Step five:  Now venture out to your favorite shopping center but do not forget the list!

The list is your friend and will remind you of what you truly want and need when those tempting mannequins start speaking to you.  Stay strong and you will come out fashionable and with deals. And you’ll become a new shopper, a smart shopper.

So, how’s it feel to regain your power?

An asymmetric dress / one shoulder dress is the “it” dress for Winter ’08 and Spring ’09.  Figure flattering, easy to wear and very on trend.  The shape of the dress brings attention up, towards your face.  This dress is great to wear with your hair up, drawing even more attention to your sultry shoulders and collarbone area  (and add a great pair of tear drop earrings and you are set).  Or let loose and keep your hair down and simple, and let the dress do the talking.

Wearing of Green

St. Patrick’s blue, not green, was the colour long-associated with St. Patrick. Green, the colour most widely associated with Ireland, with Irish people, and with St. Patrick’s Day in modern times, may have gained its prominence through the phrase “the wearing of the green” meaning to wear a shamrock on one’s clothing. At many times in Irish history, to do so was seen as a sign of Irish nationalism or loyalty to the Roman Catholic faith. St. Patrick used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pre-Christian Irish. The wearing of and display of shamrocks and shamrock-inspired designs have become a ubiquitous feature of the saint’s holiday.  The change to Ireland’s association with green rather than blue probably began around the 1750′s.
