There is no better place in Los Angeles to rock out than the Hollywood Bowl and last night it was on. Thousands rocked out screaming, drinking and having the time of their lives listening to the outstanding performance by Kings of Leon.

As a Style Seen Daily Contributor I got to soak up the tunes that played throughout the night.

The band, who happens to be three brothers, Caleb, Jared and Nathan Followill, and their cousin, Matthew Followill, create modern rock music. Lets just say their famous song, “Your Sex is on Fire”, was a fan favorite last night, as the crowd held their glasses up and sang along (yes me included).

Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon style has an indie/rocker feel, they have been spotted wearing lines such as CK Jeans and Dior Homme by Heidi Slimane. These guys are not only create hot rocker songs, but the Nashville native boys have ventured into the fashion world. The band works with Paris-based creative collective Surface to Air to create a limited-edition collection that will retail exclusively at uber-chic Copenhagen boutique Paris Texas. The line offers flannel button up shirts, leather zip up jackets and denim patched worked jeans — creating a look they love to rock on stage  and then for their fans to wear in the streets.

Hollywood Bowl was lit up for Kings of Leon.

Not only music filled the air but the stars were out too, literally —  Hillary Duff with her fiance Mike Comrie, actress Jessica Biel, and The Hills stars Audrina Patridge and Lauren Conrad were just some of the stars spotted at the Hollywood Bowl. We also spotted Kevin and Joe Jonas, younger brother Nick Jonas had to take a rain check as he is currently starring in “Les Miserables” in London. The Kings hosted their private after party at the Sunset Marquis where some of their VIP friends came out, including Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard.

Celebs spotted leaving Hollywood Bowl include Hillary Duff & Jessica Biel.

Lauren Conrad was one of many stars that attended the concert.

The Kings of Leon summer tour is in full swing and they will be traveling to areas such as Irvine, Ca, George, Wa, Salt Lake City, UT and Denver, CO.

Rock out and sing to your  favorite Kings of Leon songs like I did and checkout their website here to see if they play near you.  And if they do, get a ticket now before it’s too  late, and let us know what you thought of their performance by commenting below.

Style Seen Daily Co Founder Crystal Fambrini with Broadcasting Legend Larry King. Larry even decided to venture out to check out Fashion's Night Out.

This year Los Angeles really picked it up for the second annual Fashion’s Night Out.  My fellow fashionistas and I could barely contain our excitement for all the festivities planned around town. Unfortunately, everything was at the same time and in completely different areas so you really had to make a plan of attack and decide ahead of time what part of the city you wanted to check out.  I mean the options were tempting; hang with Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa at The Beverly Center as he officially kicked off the night, go to Westfield Century City Mall to check out the VIP events there and see Justin Timberlake unveil his new shoe line at the William Rast store, or head over to Robertson Boulevard to reconnect with my designer friends at Moods of Norway to snack on their famous waffles while trying on clothes.  Lots of options.

But I knew with my lack of patience on the road driving and this being on a Friday evening where traffic was sure to be plentiful, I decided I had to play it safe and pick one spot. So, the decision  – Rodeo Drive.  I didn’t care what celebrities where going to be where, I just wanted to take a ride on the ferris wheel in the middle of Rodeo Drive.  You bump into celebrities all the time here in Hollywood  (like Larry King in the pic with me above)  – but a ferris wheel on Rodeo Drive is a very rare occurrence.  Also just as rare — all the fancy stores on Rodeo Drive replacing their intimidating security people out front with lovely smiling models.  Instead of only welcoming in the big spenders, tonight was a night for all fashionistas — no matter if you bought something or not!   Like a shopping open house.  Now can you understand more why my friends and I were getting heart palpitations?

I started at the north end of Rodeo Drive, taking pictures along the way (see slideshow below), with my goal being to end at the south side of Rodeo at the ferris wheel.  Now it’s only a handful of blocks, but with all the most amazing stores open with models standing outside beckoning you in and offering you champagne, it did take me quite a long time to make it to my destination.  I also got distracted by the Chanel store, but a very happy distraction, as I sit here and type this I find delight looking down at my “CC” temporary tattoo on my arm.  It’s been almost a week, and the tattoo is still looking great.  Thanks Chanel!   I decided to take some video in the Chanel store… take a look…

And right before the ferris wheel, I stopped to interview the lovely Kelly Osbourne, check out that video here: Crystal Cam: Fasion’s Night Out on Rodeo Drive with Kelly Osbourne You’ll see that Kelly was just as excited as I was about the ferris wheel.

Check out some pictures I took along the way…

OK, so being a typical Angelino, I didn’t actually end up going on the ferris wheel — it was full of kids and it was a tad too cold (I didn’t bring a jacket).  But I DID touch it, which in my book, is just as worthwhile.

Yes, I actually made it to the ferris wheel!

And since I was so cold, literally shaking, I found myself diving into the Jimmy Choo store for comfort.  And oh, what comfort that was — but that’s another entry.

At the end of the night I was so exhausted from all the fashion fun I ended up passing out on top of my bed with my shopping bags in lieu of my blankets.  In my sleepy haze I thought, Venice has First Fridays, can’t Rodeo Drive do something like that too? Can’t the first Friday of every month be Fashion’s Night Out?  Hey, a girl can dream.

UGG and Jimmy Choo have created a boot that is not only super comfy, but is a work of art.  These limited edition boots range in price from $500 to $800.  Styles like the “Mandah” (pictured above), priced at $795, includes an assortment of silver and gold grommets and studding that cover the entire black boot which gives it a fashionable, graphic Jimmy Choo attitude.  The “Starlit” boot gives a rock star edge with silver brass stars and fringe details.  Other styles include leopard or zebra print boot with studs and gromets called the “Kaia.

The "Mandah," $795.

The "Starlit," $595.

The "Sora," $695.

Push aside your florals for the moment and pull out your plaid—it’s a defining print of the season—and the season is here.  This versatile pattern is “it” and it’s anything but square; wear it out-there and edgy, laid-back and lounge-y, or cultured and refined—just wear it.  Take note of the general rule of prints however, that applies with plaid as much as any other: match your check size to your body shape.  If you are lanky, go big and go bold, in size and hue; if you are petite, the large checks will overwhelm your frame and look out of proportion, so stick to more subtle small patterns in softer colors.

Here are some of our favorite plaid pieces we’ve seen this fall—let them be an inspiration for your own fall shopping:

Check Yourself (Before You Wreck Yourself).

As fall sweeps in, you’ll see plaid in places you weren’t expecting as designers get creative with this still popular print.  Here’s one fresh take on it from Guess at Los Cerritos Center—a boyfriend blazer with a subtle plaid imprint, for $108.

Ralph Lauren at Bloomingdale’s, $128, Santa Monica Place.

No Kilts Allowed.

Fight for feminine in this often androgynous pattern.  Look for cuts that flatter your shape or opt in to a full-skirted dress and get girlie.  This sophisticated version is from Ralph Lauren at Bloomingdale’s in Santa Monica Place ($128).

JCPenney, $10.80, Lakewood Center.

Grunge-Free.

Throw out the shapeless numbers from the 90s grunge-era.  You can get comfy without being cloaked in fabric.  Look for traditional plaid shirts, but find the few that carve out a waistline and hug your curves.  This one is form fitting without being snug; JCPenney at Lakewood Center ($10.80).

The Beverly Center's Fashion's Night Out on September 10, 2010.

From Japan to Australian Fashion’s Night Out hit the globe Friday, September 10, 2010 to many a shopper’s delight. And Los Angeles celebrated for the first time in LA history a fabulous night of fashion with parties and events happening at the sametime all over the city.  Rodeo Drive was closed to traffic so shoppers could stroll the street. The Beverly Center was LA’s fashion hub, with free shuttles to all the shopping parties around Los Angeles. The center hosted events of all sorts with celebrities like Will.I.Am and Danielle Alonso in attendance.  As a celebration to fashion, and to help spur consumer spending, this event was sponsored by Vogue Magazine as an appreciation of the fashion and retail industry.  Festivities were in full swing as Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa kicked off the evening declaring shoppers to shop until they dropped.

The event began with a glamorous fashion show which stared Style Seen Daily friend, Stephanie Pratt of “The Hills,” to walk down the runway. This seasons hottest looks for men and women and top designers dresses pulled from the Beverly Center itself made a great runway show. After the fashion show, acrobats took over the runway and impressed the crowd with their remarkable talent of flips, spins and lifts that would make your head spin.

Glitz, Glamor and sales oh my! What more can a girl ask for? Stores were giving out discounts galore as well as free cocktails that made pulling out that credit card a little bit easier. Stores like Steve Madden, Chinese Laundry, Coach and Victoria’s Secret were getting the party started with DJs bumping great jams and killer sales.

Project Runway’s Robby Kashou was outside of Papyrus signing autographs and featuring one of his newest gowns. Not only was this gown absolutely beautiful, but it was made entirely out of paper products that could be found inside the store. Talk about P.S. I Made This. I got to see the dress up close and personal and also talk to Robby himself, and let me tell you, this dress was something that should be on the red carpet.

With a night full of shopping, spending and soaking up the glamourous ambience it was time to call it quits and gear up for next year’s big event. So watch out fahionistas, LA will be pulling out even more stops for next years fashion extravaganza, and I am already marking it down on my calendar.

Oprah Winfrey

Put at least 300 shrimp on the barbie, because Oprah Winfrey is taking her audience to Australia.

On the premiere of the 25th — and final — season of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” that aired Monday, Winfrey surprised the 300 people in her studio audience that she was taking them all on a trip to Australia.

The audience shrieked when Winfrey made the announcement, and actor John Travolta stepped out of a mock-up of a Qantas Airways jet that rolled onto the stage.

“I started to think about where would I most want to go. Maybe I should take all of you with me to the other side of the world,” she said. “We’re going to Australia! We are going to Australia! You and you and you and you, are going to Australia!”

The lucky audience members and show staff will fly to Sydney in December. The famous Sydney Opera House will host the “Oprah” tapings.

Monday’s show included a few surprise visitors, including actor Don Johnson and singer Paul Simon, who sang a song he wrote for the talk show host.

For cable viewers, there’s more Winfrey to come. She’s set to launch her Oprah Winfrey Network, or OWN, on cable Jan. 1.

The end of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” will be featured on that network with “Behind the Scenes: Oprah’s 25th Season.”

Metropark staff members gear up for their first in-store Fashion's Night Out event.

As the runways heated up in NYC for fashion week, one of the most anticipated nights in Fashion kicked off on Friday September 10, 2010. From NYC to Paris to Los Angeles, retailers from across the world came together for this one night only global celebration of fashion. Fashion’s Night Out, originally started as a way to boost the economy, has become one of the most coveted events held during fashion week and this year was no exception. The 2nd Annual Fashion’s Night Out event was bigger than ever and on the West Coast the streets were flooded with shoppers eager to take part in fashion frenzy. The Westfield Century City Mall was just one of the hot spots on LA fashion insiders’ to do list. Among the retailers involved was multi-branded retailer Metropark, which was booming with shoppers who enjoyed snacks by Pop Chips, Kenwood wines, tunes by DJ Mr. West and a 15% off discount storewide.   Guests were lined up past close to take advantage of deals on the latest trends from the store’s private labels such as MP Black and WYL as well as designer labels like Betsey Johnson, Kill City and Tarina Tarantino.

Military inspired pieces were a focal point for the Fall collections.

Military trend pieces were in full force, with key pieces such as slim cargo pocket pants, structured jackets in faux suede, ultra soft fleece, faux leather and French terry.  Brought to attention with fine details like braided epaulets, gunmetal detailing and high quality materials and stitching, these key pieces are standouts for any fashionista’s fall wardrobe.
