Skating with the Stars. Photo credit: dizine.com

After Monday’s premiere of ABC’s Skating with the Stars, we here at Style Seen Daily felt inspiration to jazz up our wardrobes and help you do so too. The celebrity lineup of Real Housewife of New York Bethenny Frankel, All My Children actress Rebecca Budig, and Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil, amongst others, showed me that bringing back some sparkle and shine to our outfits is nothing short of genius. Many designers must have had the same idea because sparkle is everywhere.

Rebecca Budig wowed prime time television viewers when she topped the leaderboard with a graceful and challenging skating performance. But beyond her lifts, spins, and spirals, she channeled Beyonce’s Single Ladies style in a one-shoulder deep red leotard. Leo’s are great for under low-rise jeans or a high-waisted skirt, so add a little more flare with rhinestones or a shiny fabric.

This American Apparel Shiny Tank Bodysuit, priced at $24, has that sparkly vibe you need to dress up any simple skirt or pants for a SWTS style.

Store windows have shifted over to their winter season designs and almost every one features a sequined dress, sweater, or even romper. Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel looks like a winner in this purple sequin skating dress. When drab winter colors and patterns get you down, go for some sparkle to brighten your spirits.

Gold is not only an excellent investment but it is also an excellent addition to your wardrobe. Step out for a night on the town in a full on gold dress or to the office with some accessory bling.  Wherever you go, make sure to get in on the gold rush and incorporate this trend into your style.   There are different shades of gold, including metallic, rose and vegas. And there are different ways to wear these varying shades.  We have done the digging and discovered these fabulous fashion nuggets for you.

Rock Out In Metallic Gold

We like this Maggy London Sleeveless Silk Dress from Nordstrom, Westside Pavilion, $148.

To avoid looking too busy in metallic, build an entire outfit around one solid metallic print.  Brown-eyed redheads, brunettes and people with black hair who have a golden skin undertone stand out in metallic gold.   We like this Maggy London Sleeveless Silk Dress from Nordstrom, Westside Pavilion, $148.  The bateau-neck dress is classy and the bubble hem gives it a fun feel – a far cry from the metallic of the 80s.

Everything’s coming up Rose Gold

We like this Michael Kors Runway Rose Gold Watch from Kitson, Santa Monica Place, $250.

Accessories like earrings, necklaces, belts and watches are popping up everywhere in rose gold.  Rose gold compliments strawberry blondes or blonde with very white skin, skin with red or pink undertola 2daynes.  We like this Michael Kors Runway Rose Gold Watch from Kitson, Santa Monica Place, $250.  This watch is oversized, giving it a sporty feel while the rose gold allows you to wear it anytime, anywhere.

Feel lucky in Vegas Gold

We like this rouched logo plate wristlet at Express, $22, The Oaks.

To really add some flash, go with bright shiny vegas gold.  Stay away from looking like a gold digger and tone this style down.  A bright wristlet keeps you on the money with fashion.  We like this rouched logo plate wristlet at Express, $22, The Oaks.

One place most people expect to see gold in fashion is jewelry, but for this upcoming fall season gold will be making a much larger statement. From handbags and wallets, to shoes, and even dresses, gold will be popping up everywhere. Style Seen Daily Co-Founder Crystal Fambrini appeared on NBC’s 1st Look highlighting some key gold pieces to add to every fall wardrobe. In the segment, Crystal pulled  pieces from several retailers at the recently renovated Santa Monica Place, like Ted Baker and Bloomingdale’s Santa Monica, to create versatile looks.

1st Look host Viviana Vigil in a head-to-toe gold inspired Elie Tahari look at the Bloomingdale's Santa Monica Style Bar at Santa Monica Place.

A gold Sue Wong tulle and ostrich feather dress paired effortlessly with Badgley Mischka satin heels to create an elegant, yet fun cocktail look, while an Elie Tahari metallic ruffle blouse and an orange Elie Tahari wrap skirt with metallic gold accents made an fashionable work ensemble.

1st Look Co Host Viviana Vigil, Bloomingdale's Santa Monica Rep Kerry Borland, and SSD Co Founder Crystal Fambrini.

The casual, day look that Crystal put together consisted of an Aqua metallic striped tee, black BCBG leggings, and Juicy Couture puffer vest (you’ll have to watch the video above for that look). This style, which is perfect for spending the day at shopping, was all pulled together with a shiny, gold Coach bag.

SSD Co-Founder Crystal Fambrini styling looks for 1st Look host Viviana Vigil at Ted Baker in Santa Monica Place.

Crystal found some fabulous pieces to complement that dress that Viviana was wearing at Ted Baker, which is known for always adding a twist to their pieces. A gold accented, skinny cinch-waist belt, aviator sunglasses, a black quilted leather bag with gold buckles were the perfect additions from Ted Baker to complete Viviana’s look.

STYLE SEEN DAILY BREAKING NEWS

Adrien Brody’s first legal dispute in his 39-film career

The following are confirmed statements from Adrien Brody and his legal representation following the court’s ruling in their favor with regards to the issuance of a Preliminary Injunction against the motion picture, GIALLO.

Full Statement:

“The producers of the film, including Richard Rionda del Castro and Hannibal Pictures, attempted to prey on Mr. Brody’s professionalism and generosity in his desire to keep the entire cast and crew employed and keep the production going despite that it was grossly underfunded. After Mr. Brody agreed to complete the film and temporarily defer his compensation to help pay the salaries of the cast and crew, the producers then, in a calculated scheme, sought to wrongfully exploit his performance in the film without first paying him this guaranteed compensation and in violation of their express agreement. The producers later stated that Mr. Brody would never get a dime out of them, and to go ahead and sue, all as they continued to exploit the film for their own benefit. Mr. Brody has never been in a legal dispute in his 39 film career, but here the producers attempted to use economic power to overpower and take advantage of a performer. In ordering the Preliminary Injunction, the Court held that Mr. Brody is likely to succeed on the merits, has a strong case, and has the absolute contractual right to withhold his performance from the film until paid.”

-Evan Spiegel of Lavely & Singer

“I am greatly appreciative of the court’s ruling which protects me, and shows support for all artists who have been manipulated and taken advantage of by unscrupulous employers. At no point did I ever wish to be involved in a legal dispute but after well over a year of attempting to resolve this matter I was left with no other alternative.”

-Adrien Brody

It’s fun and fearless, and dramatically fashion-forward—go with the faux this season—it’s a fur sure thing.  You’ll find faux fur lined boots, bags, vests, jackets—even dresses—this holiday, and yes, even in the semi-tropical climate of California—it’s a “go”.  Worried about looking a little too Tarzan-and-Jane, or Flinestone-esque? There is a tiny bit of science to nail the haute look: tame the trend by picking one key piece at a time and wearing it well.   We went shopping and snagged our favorite fur finds—take a look:

Animal Magnetism

We found this out-on-the-town version at BCBGMAXAZRIA in Westside Pavilion ($218 ).

Watch outthere are very few things with more alluring appeal than a cropped fur coat.  Prepare to be looked over when you add this layer to your look this season, but hey–a little extra attention never hurt anyone.  We found this out-on-the-town version at BCBGMAXAZRIA in Westside Pavilion ($218 ).

The Real Deal

These are from Bloomingdale’s at Santa Monica Place ($55).

Looking for that perfect, stylish gift for her?  Treat your sister, your mom, your boss—and of course yourself– to a little bit of luxe heaven this winter, with a pair of for-the-coldest-days faux lined earmuffs.  Whether you plan to hit the slopes or just like to be warm on those chilly nights—top any fabulous look with this trend-forward and glamorous accessory.  These are from Bloomingdale’s at Santa Monica Place ($55).

Fur the Home

We loved these ones from Nordstrom at Paseo Nuevo, in mink, leopard and chinchilla ($195).

Bring the runway to your foyer—don’t limit this trend to your look—bring a little style home with you.  Look for plush faux throws to drape over your chaise, or cozy up with by the fire.  We loved these ones from Nordstrom at Paseo Nuevo, in mink, leopard and chinchilla ($195).

The human stars behind the Tangled stars, Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore at the Los Angeles Hollywood premiere on Sunday, November 14, 2010.

Flashing lights, neon signs, Hollywood sparkle. By these few words just spoken, you would think a guy like me was heading to the premiere of Burlesque. False. In reality, I hit the red carpet of the premiere of Disney’s Tangled. The scene is Hollywood Boulevard, the center of dreams and all things glamour. Specifically, this red carpet was hosted at the El Capitan Theater, a staple in most of Disney’s premieres.

When we arrived, the usual press check in seemed rather quick, considering the waiting like was nearly a block. Grabbing my spot on the carpet felt surreal when I looked down to see my sites name as one of the lucky few chosen to have a spot. Besides the rushing thrill of buses quickly passing us by and appropriately covered with Tangled poster art, it was time to get down to business and interview the stars.

The film is the story of Rapunzel, which if you don’t already know about, please remove the rock you live under and head to your local computer area. More specifically Google.com. However, this film changed its name to Tangled, so the emphasis was taken off of the princess scenario. You see, last years The Princess & The Frog was successful, but not as successful as Disney had hoped. Therefore, the title was changed to give the option of little boys wanting to check out the action, and not being deferred because it was a story of a Princess.

Moving along, the statuesque beauty, Mandy Moore voiced Rapunzel. We were given an opportunity to ask her a few questions. I know, I know, I’m supposed to ask questions about this role, but I just couldn’t help it. Mandy was featured in one of my favorite movies, Southland Tales. I wanted to know out of the roles she’s played, which was her favorite? A quick stump, and a bright smile, gave way to “A Walk to Remember, because it was my first film” and what a good role it was.

Chuck star Zachary Levi, voices the role of Flynn – a bad boy type, if you will. A dream come true for Zach, who admitted to us “I was the kid running around singing songs from Aladdin.” Clearly, this role was a dream come true. Something all of you may not know about him is that the man can sing, he gets to flex those pipes alongside Mandy in the duet, I See the Light, which is featured in the film. In addition to the many talents this actor expresses, we learned that producing is definitely at the top of his list, he’s started a company and it looking to possibly remake some 80′s films her enjoys. The task is not easy, but he’s hoping to shed some light and do things a little differently. We’ll have to wait and see.

The excitement of the cast and crew, the genuine appreciation of the Disney genre and the fact that Tangled marks Disney’s 50th animated film are all contributing factors that the kid in me came back. I admit it, I want to be a part of the experience and check it out on Thanksgiving. So, I say to you, take your family – kids, parents, uncles & friends. Check out the film and be a part of the experience, in theaters November 24, 2010.

Justin Bieber accepts the award for pop/rock favourite male artist at the 38th Annual American Music Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. (Matt Sayl/Associated Press)

OK so 16 year old Justin Bieber‘s first AMAs was an A.  Well actually an A++++ as he went four for four winning every award he was nominated for including favorite artist.  He now is the youngest musician to win favorite artist in the history of the AMAs– not to mention beating out such industry giants as Eminmem, Usher, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

But, did he outbeat their style?  You tell us.  Comment below.

Ashley Simpson-Wentz at the Solstice Luncheon at Eveleigh in Los Angeles, CA on November 16, 2010.

Solstice celebrated the launch of SolsticeSunglasses.com with what you could call a ladies luncheon at our friend’s beautiful and yummy new restaurant Eveleigh in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 16, 2010.  Style Seen Daily spent the afternoon with Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Gabrielle Union, Amber Tamblyn, Elisha Cuthbert, Monet Mazur, Emily Rossum, Taryn Manning, Jordana Brewster, Eva Amurri, Kate Mara, Sasha Alexander and many more.  Oh yes, there were some (less than a handful really) heterosexual men there, like “Weed” actor Hunter Parrish, and this eligible bachelor had a great time sipping champagne cocktails and talking fashion with the ladies.

Hunter Parish and Rebecca Hunter at at Eveleigh in Los Angeles, CA on November 16, 2010.

Hunter pictured above with Rebecca Hunter.  Rebecca shared with us one of her favorite fashions —  pairing tights with shorts.  She told me that she’s bought several pairs of shorts and tights of late and loves that she can sport this trend in Los Angeles.  She also is a fan of pearls — and picked out her grey cardigan because of the pearl detailing.  All great choices Rebecca!

Now, back to Hunter, who is actually one of  my favorite LA guys and I credit him for keeping my breakfast super healthy — Parrish shared with me a while back his “secret” egg receipe — egg whites with mustard — it really is yummy!  Originally from Texas, he’s kept his Southern Charm and isn’t ever afraid to make fun of himself, “Have I gone Hollywood? I’m so rude!”  he jokes.  Super cute guy who we here at SSD always enjoy watching on Showtime and, trust me, you’ll be seeing much more of Hunter in the future.  A Fambrini forecast:  Hunter will make People’s sexiest guy list at some point in his career.

And, speaking of Showtime, how many of you out there are excited to check out the new series “Shameless” starring the lovely Emily Rossum? I know I certainly am and gave Emily my congrats.

Jordana Brewster and Emily Rossum at the Solstice Luncheon at Eveleigh in Los Angeles, CA on November 16, 2010.

Emily is as sweet as pie and we had a good laugh over some “shameless” things of our past, which I’m NOT sharing, some things better left to the imagination.  But here’s a hint, let’s just say the promo for Shameless doesn’t seem too far fetching.

Ok, ok, so let me get to what the party was about — sunglasses.  And living in Los Angeles, you must have more than one pair.

Me (Crystal Fambrini) posing with some Solstice sunglasses at the very fun event at the Solstice Luncheon at Eveleigh in Los Angeles, CA on November 16, 2010.

Celebrities, media and VIP’s celebrated Solstice new online boutique by exploring the site’s new design, functions, social media elements and extended product offerings. Guests viewed over 40 luxury, designer and sport sunglass brands, including Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Marc Jacobs, Bottega Veneta, Carrera and Smith Optics among others, on portable iPads and computers, while enjoying bites from the kitchen and beats by Tendaji.

Gabriel Union at the Solstice Luncheon at Eveleigh in Los Angeles, CA on November 16, 2010.

Gabriel Union and Ali Fedotowsky both gravitate towards big circle sunglasses, as it is a perfect way to glam up any outfit.  And very Jackie O reminiscent.  Also, I must say I’m loving Ali in blue, thanks to her amazing stylist who was at her side the entire luncheon.

The W Los Angeles- Westwood created a winter wonderland to celebrate the opening of their ice skating rink CHILL for the season. The event, which served as a charity fundraiser for the Children’s Action Network, was hosted by Scoundrels actress Virginia Madsen, writer and director of his self-named movie and former foster child, Antwone Fisher, and the I Hate Valentine’s Day actress Nia Vardalos. They all came out to show their support for national child adoption and to enjoy a night filled with ice skating, Ciroc vodka drinks, delicious food, and winter fun.

‘Tis the season to bundle up for winter, and even though it was 60 degrees at the CHILL event, the guests filled me in on some of their favorite winter fashion items. A Christmas Wish actress and winner of Skating with the Celebrities Kristy Swanson brought her adorable son Magnus to the event, and told us that her favorite winter accessory is hats. She likes that you can only wear wool hats and beanies in the colder months so she takes advantage and loves to keep her head warm and cute.

We love knits too, especially crochet socks, like the Free People Crochet Anklet, priced at $24. They look great with Mary-Jane heels or ballet flats to keep your feet warm this winter.

My favorite item this winter would have to be my comfortable and stylish low-heel booties from Aldo. The shoe company has a ton of funky and cool ankle booties this season.

For the second year, the W Los Angeles turned their pool deck, WET, into the hybrid ice skating rink CHILL, where guests and visitors got cozy in fatboy lounge chairs, wonderland scenery, and rink side cabanas.
