Brooklyn Decker and Sofia Vergara both picked Dolce & Gabbana dresses to show off their sexy shape at Conde Nast Traveler’s “Hot List” Party at Soho House in West Hollywood April 11, 2011.

Actresses / Hotties Emma Stone and Vanessa Hudgens also attended the event and both looked breathtaking…

Emma Stone

I love that Emma decided to have her lips pop in a fun, flirty bright pink.  Put away the red for the holidays, hot pink is the new glam color.

Vanessa Hudgens.

Vanessa Hudgens showed up how to make menswear inspired suits super hot.  She also revealed her brand new super long hair extensions, which look great on her.

30 Seconds To Mars Rocked The Gibson Theater

In the vein of musicians-turned-actors, Jared Leto might be the most successful at doing both, he’s the lead vocals, rhythm guitar, and songwriter for the band 30 Seconds to Mars, but many of you might know him better for his acting. We were fortunate enough to attend the bands show at Universal Studio’s Gibson Amphitheater, where Jared literally had the entire house jumping up and down, singing and fist pumping. The energy in the room was magical, as per his every direction the crowd followed almost like a game of Simon Says.  Midway through the show he appeared center audience and did two solo songs with his guitar while encouraging the crowd to sing, to which they all seemed to do. Check out this video we found from gmlscorpio on you tube. It makes sense now why almost all of their shows are sold out!

Backstage Jared shared with us that he had just been in Abu Dhabi and experienced the “most amazing crowd of Egyptians, Palestinian’s, and Israelis’ and singing in harmony and dancing together, women wearing burka’s rocking out “ a pretty incredible statement of the power of music and his band, who are collective and public in their disdain for war and belief in peace.  Earlier we had seen the same passion when we sat behind a fan that had a Mohawk died blue, similar to a previous look of jared’s and a t-shirt with the bands logo which is an Argus Apocaphex: meaning “Hidden Giant” in Latin. Some say it may have to do with the bands belief in “finding the giant within”, or finding your light.

30 Seconds To Mars Fan

Jared seems very spiritually connected, maybe avoiding alcohol and drugs has brought him enlightenment, whatever the case, he has a very loyal following, including even his longtime acting publicist Robin Baum (who we were a guest of) and manager Jason Weinberg. Clearly he is very loyal and receives the same in return. He was feeling a bit under the weather so he kindly elbow greeted everyone instead of handshaking to avoid the possibility of getting anyone else sick, a thoughtful talented artist. We love it!

Jared’s acting career began on My So-Called Life as the main love interest of Angela (played by Claire Danes), but he also contributed to the soundtrack of the TV series.  He wrote the song “Kings  & Queens” which can be heard on the soundtrack for the film Syline, as well as “A Beautiful Lie” in The Double Hour and “Echelon” in Sol Goode. His first released film was How to Make an American Quilt starring alongside actress Winona Ryder. Many more film’s followed including The Thin Red Line, directed by the renowned Terrence Malick, starring Sean Penn, Woody Harrelson, John Travolta, Nick Nolte, nominated for seven Oscars.

Jared also stared in James Mangold‘s Girl, Interrupted, David Fincher‘s cult classic Fight Club, American Psycho, and Darren Aronofsky‘s Requiem for a Dream – where Jared went to extreme measures to prepare for his role as a heroin addict. Oliver Stone cast him in Alexander, and later he again went to extreme measures of  massive weight gain to play Mark David Chapman, infamous murderer of John Lennon, in the movie Chapter 27. Famed photographer Terri Richardson photographed Jared before, during and after the weight gain, publishing images that shocked everyone.

30 Seconds to Mars is currently on their world tour, and Jared is also creating the documentary Artifact with Director Bartholomew Cubbins and his longtime assistant, turned producing partner, Emma Ludbrook. Emma also produced “30 Seconds to Mars: The Making of “The Ride” a TV movie about the guys and the band.

Mercury Travel

No need to blame it on the rain, your boyfriend or your boss –  its the planet Mercury.  What we mean is, if you have been feeling like things have been a tad bit strange lately, or difficult rather, well there is a scientific explaintation - the  phenomenon known as Mercury Retrograde and it occurs three times each year. So what does that mean? For about three weeks time, Mercury travels in reverse motion against the backdrop of stars, this time around it began March 30 and will end April 22nd.  Experts say that during this time communciation – in all various ways including technological and verbal – can become confused and unclear, cause delays and changes, extremists will not sign contracts during this time or even travel, they say to use this time for researching, strategizing or solving problems. Written and verbal contracts signed during this time are often cause of confusion later and it is not a good time to buy electronics, including cars and computers.

So what is best to do now? Edit, rewriting, reworking, reevaluation and reconsideration, spring cleaning – just be patient and take time to triple check work, but hold off on final decisions until Mercury goes direct.

Mercury in this orbit  does allows us to look into the future toward new and innovative ideas, bring ideas back into the present to test and evaluate to see how they fit into our life, once retrograde ends we are able to put our new ideas into manifestation.  As Mercury retrogrades back into the present, the connection with the Sun happens as we then can test drive our ideas and re-align with reality and the natural timing of the universe!

The next Retrograde will be July 15th to August 8th, then again on November 5th till the 26th.

LOS ANGELES – April 11, 2011 – American Idol’s James Durbin wore Junk Food while competing with the finalists last week. The Hundreds now has the above “Rosewood Collection” sunglasses available ONLY at the Rosewood location in Los Angeles.  “I would never, never do anything unless I believed in it” is inscribed on  the side of these frames.  These glasses are bigger then your typical retro design and retail for $79.

Malibu Native, DJ, Bikini Designer,Model AND Style Seen Daily friend Caroline D’Amore founded “D’Amore Swim” with Ryan Horne.  This busy style setter calls her line motorcycle vintage.

Caroline explains, “It’s girly vintage and rocker chic.”  We have the first look at D’Amore’s first campaign shoot here. Caroline is the perfect bikini model and I am in love with the black one piece with studs — what a statement that swimsuit makes!

Congrats Caroline on this amazing Spring 2011 line.  The swimsuits are available at a variety of high end stores like Barney’s, Fred Segal and Planet Blue.  Check out the first lookbook here…

And check out my interview with the Glee cast and Corey – it’s a classic because it was the first Glee event before the show hit television.  I knew the sumer prior that this show was going to make a HUGE splash  – the cast is absolutely adorable and so talented — this was a definite “no brainer” for FOX programmers.

As a self-proclaimed Prime Time TV Know-It-All, I make sure to know everything and anything that goes on in the television world, especially when it comes to fashion. This year’s prime time line-up has been phenomenal, from award-winning shows like Glee and Modern Family to guilty pleasures like Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars, there is always something fabulous and fashionable to watch. We, here at Style Scene Daily, have picked out the top three fashion forward and style-inspired shows between the weeknight hours of 8pm and 10pm.

American Idol

As if listening to the magnificent voices of the Season 10 contestants isn’t entertaining enough, we get to see the amazing wardrobe of Jennifer Lopez and the female contestants twice a week on AI. Yes, Ryan‘s suits are perfectly tailored, and Steven‘s bell-bottoms are divine, but JLo steals the show with her perfectly quaffed hair, flawless make up, and absolutely daring and stunning fashion choices. I love how she embraces her curves and always stands out in edgy, yet girly designs.

The FOX show has even upped their contestants’ fashion, by incorporating L.A.M.B. designer and pop-star Gwen Stefani into last week’s show to style the three female singers. One of my favorite top 9 contestants, Pia Toscano, who shockingly got voted off far too early, was dressed by Gwen in a Safari print romper an edgy accessories on Wednesday night.

Gossip Girl

There’s no doubt that the upper east-siders of Gossip Girl are the best dressed cast on TV, but what makes them stylish enough to be dubbed the “new Sex and the City” of fashion? The wardrobe stylist for GG, Eric Daman, makes sure each character has their own unique style and pushes the envelope in everything they wear. From trendsetting with Blair‘s headbands and plaid school-girl skirts, to mixing styles with Serena‘s boho-chic flair with polished wealthy looks, Daman has set the bar high on The CW Show.

I don’t even think I could tell you what is going on plot-wise right now on the show, but the fashion always sticks out. This show is constantly inspirational on the fashion front.

The Good Wife

Not only is this show one of my favorites due to it’s acting, writing, and thick drama, but it also boasts beautiful clothes. The setting, a Chicago law office, does not jump out and say high fashion, but the leading ladies and men wear stunning suits and outfits that you would see on any fashion week runway. Diane and Alicia, played by Christine Baranski and Julianna Margulies, are always dressed to the nines in their pencil skirts and tweed blazers; their sophisticated suit jackets are to die for.

If you’re looking for a good TV drama without compromising on exquisite designs, look no further than CBS’s The Good Wife.
