Los Angeles based swimsuit specialists Sauipe Swimwear ( pronounced Sow-eep-ay) is renowned for multiple features in Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue. Inspired by Costa do Sauipe in the Bahia state of Brazil,  Sauipe Swimwear creates supremely sexy-yet-wearable collections of swimwear and coordinating cover-ups using high-quality textiles, exclusive patterns and hand-finishes.

Its 2011 collection is inspired by early 20th Century accessories and sensibilities.Sauipe has endowed this year’s collection with feathers, embellishments and jewel tones harking back to the days of flappers and boyish looks.  Following this inspiration, Sauipe made a departure from the brand’s traditionally sexy/sporty styles, and focused on voluptuous and often generous cuts in glamorous colors, decorative hardware and feathered inspired prints.  The result: sophisticated pieces for well-traveled, fashion-forward women of stylee. No longer confined by the stereotypical “teeny bikini,” this boutique Brazilian-designed line has expanded its repertoire to include a more mature, luxury set of silhouettes perfectly suited to the sophisticated swimwear experience. Whether lounging poolside at a resort or aboard a yacht, this collection combines refined functionality with a stylish sexy fit.

Outtake from Katy Perry's Rolling Stone Cover shot by Terry Richardson

July 2011 issue of Rolling Stone features the beautiful Katy Perry, wearing a Hersheys Kisses inspired bustier halter top. If you manage to look past the silly and sexy cover of the magazine, you’ll find an interview with Katy kicking off her California Dreams Tour and touching on subjects such as her success, meeting people in the industry for the first time, and the struggle she has had with her body image.

Terry Richardson, who shot the spread for the magazine posted an outtake  from the shoot (pictured above) on his twitter account. Never one to steer away from edgy direction, Richardson played onto the fact that Katy spoke about her body image and her breast size in the interview, by turning her into life sized chocolate kisses!

Given that Mrs. Perry managed to be photographed without looking raunchy but rather remaining cute and bubbly, dare we say that there is nothing she can’t do?!?  2011 is really being solidified as the year of the Katy Perry.

Lanvin Mens Spring/Summer 2012.

June 23rd– After a a couple seasons of delivering edgier, more futuristic collections, Artistic Director Alber Elbaz took a step forward for Spring/Summer 12′ by returning the renowned romantic label, Lanvin, back to a more raw expression of strength and venerability during Paris Fashion week. The house, founded in 1909, has always been known for its light colors and materials, which made this collection feel organic to the brand.

Elbaz commented after the show: “We wanted to go back to the essence of masculinity, which is leather, which is the uniform,” and inject that “with the fragility and emotion that has become our DNA at Lanvin.”

And that they did, with a collection filled with extra thin leathers, flowing silky materials and dusty hues dominating key pieces, with unexpected bursts of color. It hoped to convey men as both masculine and feminine without emasculating but by softening the rough edges of its military undertone. Incredible outerwear pieces highlighted by extra long Leather tunics, Lanvin’s staple sandal, and whimsical play with proportions ensured a clear understanding of direction.

Over all, the message  ’boys can cry’ was successfully delivered with every look that walked down the runway reaffirming that the tears in my eyes when I saw those billowing trousers tucked into a pair of combat boots, were at the same time fragile as they were manly.

The best place to find the looks from this season in the United States will be Barneys New York, which is the largest wholesale carrier of the line, or you can check out the Lanvin E-store for purchase inquires.

Jaqueline used her acting experience as inspiration for her line, as each piece and collection is inspired by one of her former characters or roles.

My favorite fragrance, Angel by Thierry Mugler, has a new face:  Eva Mendes.

The campaign — shot in Prague — features the actress (in a custom dress by Mugler) singing with an orchestra. It was an impromptu decision to include Eva singing for the commercial. You see, while Mendes prepped for the shoot she started singing along to the song chosen for the campaign. Everyone on set loved her singing to “The Windmills of Your Mind” so much that they made an instant decision — Eva would now sing in the commercial.

Angel smells of honey / vanilla / chocolate / carmel and a little dab or spritz lasts all day. And almost every day I have someone commenting on how they like my perfume. Angel has been my go to perfume since I first started wearing perfume as a teenager. And yes while sometimes I venture off and try other eau de parfums, I never get the same response as when I’m wearing Angel. I have several bottles in my bathroom, as my Mom’s go to present for me is this perfume. And it is a great present, I can never get enough! So treat yourself or your friend / lover and try this iconic perfume. And now Eva says so too.

Style Seen Daily friend Taryn Manning seen DJ’ing in her Shay Todd at the Revel pool party on Saturday, June 25 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. The multi-talented Manning got the crowd going spinning Ke$ha’s hit “Blow” before performing her recently released hit single, “Turn It Up” with artist Satega.

Her black Shay Todd One piece, $198, was anything but basic with three keyhole cut outs and decorative gold button detail that added just the right amount of spice.
