It was a remarkably inspiring night filled with support, love, accomplishment and humor, proving the rumors that Hollywood is heartless wrong.  Funnyman Joel McHale hosted the evening, constantly keeping the audience laughing and Jon Hamm surprised us when he introduced Stacey Snider, causing almost as much laughter as McHale.

Elizabeth Olsen, Evan Rachel Wood & Freida Pinto

Some of the highlights of the night included: John Hawkes, Elizabeth Olsen’s co-star in the film Martha Marcy May Marlene, presenting Olsen with the Calvin Klein Collection emerging star award.  He praised her for carrying the film and being an incredibly talented actress beyond her years. (John also co-starred with Jennifer Lawrence in Winters Bone, the film that catapulted the young actress into massive fame.) Olsen said Michelle Pfeiffer inspired her to become an actress.

Reese Witherspoon announced friend Jennifer Aniston saying she was one of the few people in the world that has both sex appeal and complete lovability. “You just want to get your nails done with her and you want to make out with her at the same time. At least I do,” Witherspoon said.  Friend Chelsea Handler, who sat at their table, pointed to herself mouthing “me too”.  Boyfriend Justin Theroux grinned ear to ear at Reese while holding hands with Jen.

Laura Dern, who rarely makes an appearance at Hollywood events, came to support and announce her friend, honoree Naomi Watts. She shared  Naomi is the funniest and most loving person she knows, yet she always plays deep troubled complex characters, adding the style of their friendship is to goof around talking like valley girls.  Once on stage Naomi hugged Dern,  gave a heartfelt thanks to her husband Live Schreiber as well as her kids and all of the women in the room.

Congratulations to Robbie Meyers and Kevin O’Malley for creating such an incredible evening.  These are the kinds of moments that made us proud to live in Tinsletown, everyone woman awarded has Style, Grace and Success, all trailblazers in the careers and an inspiration for women and men alike.
