These necklaces are all available at Anthropologie.

From wearing statement necklaces to numerous necklaces  at once — neck jewels are back in a big, big way.  Just this week we spotted stylist turned designer Rachel Zoe sporting a huge single couture necklace at fashion’s biggest night of the year, the annual Met Gala in New York City, and musician Rihanna piling on the necklaces while day shopping.  My favorite of this trend is putting on bright bold costume necklaces of all lengths and types because costume jewelry is light and won’t put a kink in your neck.  I also like to mix and match fake and real jewelry together because only the very few of us can tell.  So before you head out, grab some necklaces to make your outfit pop and have people doing double takes at your pretty jewels.

Jennifer Lawrence in a gold backless Prabal Gurung gown, complete with cutouts and Jacob & Co. black diamond earrings at the LA premiere of Hunger Games on March 12, 2012.

Cut outs are taking over.  From shoes, gowns with side cut outs, tshirts with shoulder cut outs and more.  As with any trend, there is a chance of taking it too far.  One must dress strategically sexy in order to pull off cut outs with class. An easy rule of thumb:  stick to one cut out.  Another rule to follow:  keep the cut outs little, think of it as a little glimpse or peek a poo with the skin.  A long gown with side cut outs, like Jennifer Lawrence wore at the premiere of Hunger Games, is the perfect amount of skin while still looking classy and beautiful.

Birds are chirping all over the runways for Spring/Summer 2012.  Carolina Herrera Spring/Summer 2012 line includes a sparrows print (third dress in pictured above).  Also seen are hummingbirds, swans, pheasants, parrots, toucans, and flamingos on dresses, skirts, shirts and blouses by a variety of designers like Giles, Marc Jacobs, and Jill Stuart. Missoni has an abstract bird graphic print in bright yellow that grabs our attention.  Bird graphic print is playful and feminine and has you wanting to get out of your office chair and into the park for some good ole fashion fun.

This spring, join the tribe! Print mixing, brights and African-inspired twists were all over the Spring 2012 runways, bringing a touch of the wild side to spring dressing — but you don’t need a runway budget or a first class ticket to the Serengeti to get in on the fun.  Here are four suggestions on how to incorporate a little tribal style into your attire.

Actress Evan Rachel Wood at HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" New York Premiere July 6, 2011.

Move over polk a dots — there’s a new print in town.  And it’s out of this world.   Yes, I am obsessed with the new Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 collection star printed pants.  Spotted on actress Evan Rachel Wood  in New York this summer with a star shirt to match — I mean figuratively ofcourse.  She paired these sexy star pants with a Dolce & Gabbana grey T-shirt with late actor Dennis Hopper’s face.  Her fuschia lipstick gave this outfit the pop of color it needed — and brought attention to her stunning face.

The Dolce & Gabbana signature star print can be found on long and short dresses.

Dolce & Gabbana Star Print (fall 2011 collection).

And I’m not the only one obsessed with this space trend…

And I’m even MORE obsessed with adding stars to the classic little black dress to make you really shine in any setting…

Dolce & Gabbana $1845

This print is fun, flirty and just plain fabulous.

If you are lucky enough to own this Dolce & Gabbana print, take a picture, we would love to see how fabulous YOU look!  Post your pictures here.

In lieu of finding them hanging from electrical wires all throughout town, designers have made an effort to  reinvent the traditional sneaker, by jumping on board of the minimalist, deconstructed bandwagon. Timeless styles, such as the Nike WMNS terminator are using unfinished uppers, leather laces and perforated leathers, to achieve a look with an all together lack of structure.

Converse LE Star Tech High

Converse Star tech high also dismantles the traditional sneaker look, for a more raw industrial feel, while others like the Buttero b4003 use perforated leather and a speckled soles to create a look perfect for pairing with any summer outfit. traditional desert boots are also being used as inspiration for sneakers like the  Vans Vault Chukka Bardenas and Nike Air Ralston both of which are great examples of  spot-on-trend.

Buttero B4003

Whats is great about the upcoming wave of sneakers is that menswear designers are serving an overwhelming amount of deconstructed minimalism this season and being able to pair a shoe with a great outfit is the cherry on top of the cake.  Designers like Rick Owens and Damir Doma, who’s design aesthetic have always had certain dark undertones  may have partly influenced these designs but none the less, their is no doubt that In dark economical times, mens fashion always finds a way to stay on the cusp of reality.
