Award shows are like the Super Bowl for fashionistas. Get in on the fun by hosting an award show party at your home or favorite restaurant. It’s a great way to bond with friends and enjoy the red carpet pre shows and award shows together while channeling your favorite Fashion Police personality. Here are a few gorgeous gowns from the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards, with looks for less from Unique Vintage, to help inspire you to dress up for the season.

Bigger is definitely better in terms of jewelry. Expect to see big statement pieces all over the red carpet. Well that is if you want Style Seen Daily friend and jewelry expert Michael O’Connor‘s fashion approval. Michael gave us a first hand look at some of the jewelry trends that celebrities will be wearing on the carpet.

Since a simplified, more monochromatic look is popular in clothing right now, jewelry is taking the forefront as the focus of an ensemble. Jewelry is serving as more of a contrast to the outfit with the focus being on one area with a large piece, like a big ring with a lot of stones or wearing multiple bangles on one arm. Look for stones like black diamonds, tanzanite, amethyst, and sapphire to be popping up all over the red carpet.

Another emerging jewelry trend that Michael predicts to be a hit on the red carpet is a retro look. He says that a large part of this trend is due to shows like Mad Men that have made the 50s and 60s eras more relevant in fashion. Pearls are making a come back in a whole new way, but these aren’t your mother’s classic strand pearls. Julia Roberts has already been spotted wearing such fashion forward pearls. A beaded pearl necklace also feature beads of a variety of other colors from the AGTA Collection is also likely to be a hit for award season and right on trend for fall.
Tie bars, like this one from Cliq by Superfit, are becoming popular picks for men.
As for the men, actors Terrence Howard and Clint Eastwood have been spotted wearing pins for the lapels of jackets. Look for Cliq by Superfit to be on the men at the EMMYS with pieces like tie bars, rings, and cuff links.

Beautiful TACORI diamond pieces were seen all over Los Angeles this weekend at not just the EMMYs, but also at pre-EMMY parties. Celebrities like Betsy Brandt, Amanda Righetti, and Autumn Reeser all looked fabulous in their TACORI jewelry. We liked the One-Of-a-Kind necklace and bracelet that Betsy Brandt of the TV series ‘Breaking Bad’ was spotted wearing on the red carpet at the EMMYs. The white diamond pieces were paired with TACORI Dantela studs to complete her elegant look.

Actress Amanda Righetti was spotted looking stunning in TACORI yellow gold and diamond earrings to The Art of Elysium’s Second Annual Genesis Event. We especially love how ‘The Mentalist’ actress complemented the earrings, from the Alfeuress collection, with her updo hairstyle. Whitney Port from MTV’s ‘The City’ was also seen wearing TACORI earrings this weekend. Her diamond earrings, which she wored to the Reality Cares Achievement Awards, were from the Crescent Silhouette Collection.

Style Seen Daily also spotted ‘Entourage’ actress Autumn Reester at the Entertainment Weekly and Women in Film Pre-EMMY Party sparkling in TACORI jewelry. We like the art-deco style rings, from the Crescent Silhouette collection, that Autumn is wearing and how she paired them with a bracelet from the TACORI Afleuress collection.

On television’s biggest night, there was no short supply of style or fashion. At the 62nd Annual Primtime EMMY Awards white was definitely the hottest color on this year’s red carpet. Kim Kardashian looked stunning in a grecian style white Marchesa dress. Many other celebrities, including Julie Benz of ‘Dexter’ and “Damages” actress Rose Byrne.were also spotted wearing white gowns. Even Bryan Batt of ‘Mad Men’ was spotted wearing a white suit jacket to top off his look.

Another big trend on this year’s red carpet was navy dresses. Lea Michele of ‘Glee’ worked a strapless, navy Oscar De La Renta gown that she accented with a diamond Lorraine Schwartz choker. Jane Krakowski donned a head to toe navy look. The ’30 Rock’ actress’ Escada gown was paired with blue satin Salvatore Ferragamo peep toe heels and blue satin clutch to tie it all together.

Although white and navy were the stand out colors on this year’s red carpet, many other celebrities still made their mark on the red carpet with their own looks. Claire Danes of ‘Temple Grandin’ and Heather Morris were both glowing in sequined dresses. The ‘Temple Grandin’ actress looked elegant in an Armani Prive gown that was encrusted with Swarovski crystals, while Morris, of “Glee” wore a gold Ina Solanti gown paired with a Swarovski clutch.

Bold And The Beautiful Co Stars Zack Conroy and Kim Matula presenting at the 37th Daytime Emmys in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Regis Philbin did a great job quickly hosting the 37th Annual Daytime EMMY Award Show held at the Hilton in Las Vegas, Nevada. An award show in two hours is very rare, and should happen more to put it bluntly. Ryan Seacrest led the touching tribute to living legend Dick Clark for his American Bandstand television success that had everyone, including Dick, in tears (yes I was also crying, thanks Ryan, you got me when you sat down next to him and thanked him). These TV icons set the stage for an entertaining evening. And it was great to check out the next crop of rising stars — and even better what exactly they were wearing.
You see another award show, another fashion round up of best and worst dress lists take over the internet. Sadly, the men are often over looked for their fashion choices. But not here at Style Seen Daily. In fact, we don’t just talk about the fashion, we take part in it. I dressed our friend and EMMY nominee for outstanding younger actor Zack Conroy of The Bold & The Beautiful fame.

Zack is in a Moods Of Norway suit. Doesn’t he look great? The blue shirt is perfect with his striking blue eyes, the three piece suit is classic yet far from safe – the vest gives it a younger vibe and the small details, like the gold tractor pin on the jacket, is proving this future leading man is not afraid to have some fun with his fashion.
