Spotted!: Blake Lively bundles up in a chocolate leather Dolce and Gabbana coat with grey trim that tied at the waste and distressed jeans as she leaves the set of “Gossip Girl” in New York City on February 1, 2012. Instead of dressing up the outfit with a pair of boots, the blonde bombshell opted  for a more casual look by wearing a pair of edgy Christian Louboutin high-top sneakers. Give any outfit an edgy look with this pair of studded Christian Louboutin sneakers.

Blake Lively turned heads in high-fashion, low-cut tuxedo.

Spotted! All eyes were on Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively at Barney’s New York. Her two-piece, bright blue tuxedo showed off her curves with the plunge cut neck line and fitted pants.  The embellished lacy shoulder pads really added to the eighties feel of the look.  The actress accessorized with chunky rings and drop earrings, but skipped a necklace as it would take away from the sexy, dramatic neckline.  Get Blake’s look at http://bit.ly/uL5aB1

Spotted!: Elizabeth Hurley and Leighton Meester, pictured above, both wore earrings by Meira T in Season 5 Gossip Girl.

Let’s face it, half of us watch “Gossip Girl” for the juicy story lines and the other half are glued to the onscreen drool-worthy fashion show in just about every scene.  Blake Lively’s character spotted rocking the Yigal Azrouel Optic Colorblock Dress, which retails for $1,095.00.  But for all the die-hard fashionistas out there, that very same dress is currently available on Rent The Runway for just $150. Something to gossip about indeed, but no need to divulge that yours is a rental. Our lips are sealed!

Cynthia Rowley's Fall Collection 2011 boasts beautiful longer skirts. Photo Credit: cynthiarowley.com

Getting sick of mini skirts and baring your thighs? Top designers, like Cynthia Rowley, feel your pain and have extended the length of skirts for a change in your spring, summer, and fall wardrobe. Like Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester, you too can find beauty in a below-the-knee or a flowing skirt. These styles are popping up all over the runway and stores, so it’s time to grab a hold of this new trend.

Paired with a crop-top, a lacy blouse, or a denim vest, long flowing skirts are all the rage for the most casual and chic summer attire. 90210′s Shenae Grimes looks very trendy in her Elizabeth and James Long Skirt and floral print cropped blouse.

Not only are these skirts supper flattering due to the curve hugging design, but they are so easy and versatile. Try this LNA Column Long Skirt, priced at $99, over a bathing suit with sandals and you’ve got a day-to-night beachy look. Add a black lace top, wedges, and a fedora and your look could grace the beach or a red carpet.

Indah Long Wrap Skirt, $128. Photo Credit: shopbop.com

Try a boho-chic look with a printed skirt or wrap-around with a floral design, like this Indah Wrap Long Skirt, priced at $128. Your favorite button down shirt would look very flattering tied at your waist with a flowing skirt and flip-flops.

Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf looks classy-chic in her A-Line Skirt. Photo Credit: cwtv.com

For a retro, Mad Men-inspired look, try a classy below-the-knee A-line or pencil skirt. Yes, ladies, it is definitely flattering to just show off your ankles. I would pair these skirts with a fitted tank or sweater like GG’s Blair Waldorf, or a blazer to make it even more throwback classy. Don’t be afraid to raid your closet for old designs from the 60′s and 70′s, even the 90′s!

Nothing says spring and summer like this Tibi Lillian Midi Skirt, priced at $253. It is so casual and relaxed, but still looks high-fashion. The midi-length is perfect, and will go great with wedges or a pair of flip flops.

As a self-proclaimed Prime Time TV Know-It-All, I make sure to know everything and anything that goes on in the television world, especially when it comes to fashion. This year’s prime time line-up has been phenomenal, from award-winning shows like Glee and Modern Family to guilty pleasures like Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars, there is always something fabulous and fashionable to watch. We, here at Style Scene Daily, have picked out the top three fashion forward and style-inspired shows between the weeknight hours of 8pm and 10pm.

American Idol

As if listening to the magnificent voices of the Season 10 contestants isn’t entertaining enough, we get to see the amazing wardrobe of Jennifer Lopez and the female contestants twice a week on AI. Yes, Ryan‘s suits are perfectly tailored, and Steven‘s bell-bottoms are divine, but JLo steals the show with her perfectly quaffed hair, flawless make up, and absolutely daring and stunning fashion choices. I love how she embraces her curves and always stands out in edgy, yet girly designs.

The FOX show has even upped their contestants’ fashion, by incorporating L.A.M.B. designer and pop-star Gwen Stefani into last week’s show to style the three female singers. One of my favorite top 9 contestants, Pia Toscano, who shockingly got voted off far too early, was dressed by Gwen in a Safari print romper an edgy accessories on Wednesday night.

Gossip Girl

There’s no doubt that the upper east-siders of Gossip Girl are the best dressed cast on TV, but what makes them stylish enough to be dubbed the “new Sex and the City” of fashion? The wardrobe stylist for GG, Eric Daman, makes sure each character has their own unique style and pushes the envelope in everything they wear. From trendsetting with Blair‘s headbands and plaid school-girl skirts, to mixing styles with Serena‘s boho-chic flair with polished wealthy looks, Daman has set the bar high on The CW Show.

I don’t even think I could tell you what is going on plot-wise right now on the show, but the fashion always sticks out. This show is constantly inspirational on the fashion front.

The Good Wife

Hard-hitting lawyers Diane Lockhart and Alicia Florrick look stylish as they practice law. Photo Credit: cbs.com

Not only is this show one of my favorites due to it’s acting, writing, and thick drama, but it also boasts beautiful clothes. The setting, a Chicago law office, does not jump out and say high fashion, but the leading ladies and men wear stunning suits and outfits that you would see on any fashion week runway. Diane and Alicia, played by Christine Baranski and Julianna Margulies, are always dressed to the nines in their pencil skirts and tweed blazers; their sophisticated suit jackets are to die for.

If you’re looking for a good TV drama without compromising on exquisite designs, look no further than CBS’s The Good Wife.

Since the summer months are sneaking up on us, it is time to find the perfect hat to block your beautiful face from those harmful UV rays. Whether you’re strutting the street in style like Gossip Girl and Chanel‘s new spokeswoman Blake Lively, or hitting the beach like actress Hayden Panettiere, these head coverings are the cutest and most effective way to protect your face and look great. Style Seen Daily has found some of this season’s hottest hats to make sure you look fabulous while frolicking on a hot sunny day.

Floppy

The newest trend of this season is the cowboy hat. Traditional hats you’ve seen on Minka Kelly in Friday Night Lights are back and have grabbed the attention of fashionistas like Hayden Panettiere, Ashley Tisdale, and Sandra Bullock. We love the casual feel and how cute they look on just about everybody.

Try adding color ribbon like The Green Hornet actress Cameron Diaz strutting through the airport, or a pattern or stripe, or even go bold with a bright colored hat, whichever way you wear it, these hats are perfect for spring and summer.

Winter seems to always sneak up on us  –  is your closet stocked with this season’s on-trend necessities? With so many stylish trends and looks to choose from, the task of narrowing down what to buy and what to pass on by can be daunting.

Want to know what will be in our closet this year?  We’ve pared the season’s trends down to our top five faves to give you a lust-worthy, and essential, list to shop from.  Included in this Style Seen Daily trend report:  Faux fur, leopard, gold, over the knee boots, and red lips.

#1 THE MUST-HAVE ACCESSORY:  Faux Fur

Model Iwona Lis in outfit provided by Los Cerritos Center. Foreign Exchange Faux fur vest: $44.

It’s a fur thing, and a sure thing—this holiday you can’t go wrong with decking out in faux fur.  Gain some instant style cred when you choose fur-trimmed boots, handbags or jackets.  We’ve taken note of the way this trend is spreading like wildfire with celebrities — Kim Kardashian likes to layer on her blonde faux vest when traveling, and Olivia Palmero broke out her faux vest early in chilly NYC — a sleek black version she layered over black skinnys and a dark sweater.   Don’t think California is exempt from this cozy look—as the weather cools here in L.A. we’ll see even more of this hot look around town.

Can’t decide which fur is fur you?

While shopping for our favorite faux-fur, we decided to go with a vest from Foreign Exchange in Los Cerritos Center that looked that it cost much more than it’s affordable sticker price of $44.

Pick a blend and style that fits your personality—are you wild and wooly with an edge?  Pick a longer haired multi-hued vest.  Are you Jackie O’s refined elegance?  Look for shorter haired single-tone cropped jackets.

#2 THE MUST-HAVE PRINT:  Leopard

Model Camila Poindexter. Outfit provided by Ann Taylor, Westside Pavilion. Ann Taylor Leopard Skirt: $118.

Here kitty, kitty….this fall, a little leopard makes your look large on style. Don’t try to tame this wild animal, 2010 is the year to feed your inner feline.  Grab that racy printed heel, or cinch that waist with a touch of cat-like couture—and know you’re not alone.  This fall we’ve seen Angelina Jolie is wrapping up in a stealth leopard trench, Victoria Beckham’s been carrying her kitty on her arm in a chain-strapped handbag, and Keira Knightly tied on a purr-fect printed scarf.

We spotted some decadent leopard looks at Ann Taylor at Westside Pavilion (model is wearing a-line leopard skirt, Ann Taylor, Westside Pavilion, $118).

Pick a lady-like pencil skirt, pumps or cute cardigan, or step out in a printed sheath, or ballet flats—just call a cat a cat, and say that leopard is topping your list for winter.

#3 THE MUST-HAVE COLOR:  Gold

Model Ashley Jeuong. Outfit provided by Love Culture, Santa Monica Place. Love Culture Gold tube dress $19.

The old adage is being redefined—all that glitters is gold this season.  Get your glitz-fix this holiday with this old-school glamour inducing metallic.  Start with jewelry, yes, but then get creative and look to lamé for new inspiration.  Gold-plated blazers, skirts, handbags and headbands are ruling the runways this winter, with glinting new takes on trend-forward pieces.

We recently caught Heidi Klum donning a sequined golden stunner during Milan Fashion Week, and Hilary Swank looking ravishing in bustier version at the London Film Festival.

When we hit the aisles and took a quick peek inside Love Culture at the new Santa Monica Place, we fell in love with their collection of gold tops and accessories.  Our faves that tipped the scales–everything from sequined tunics to gold and rhinestoned cuff bracelets, all for $20 and under.

#4  THE MUST-HAVE BOOT: Over-The-Knee

Model Michelle Marie. Dress provided by Foreign Exchange, Santa Monica Place. ALDO boots, Westside Pavilion, $130.

Over-the-knee boots are so fashion-forward they may make you question your style identity — “is over-the-knee for me?”  The answer is yes—the brave, the bashful and somewhere in between–even you can wear them.  So buck up, skivvy into some skinnys and get to shopping, because these boots aren’t optional.  Get right in a longer riding-boot flat version, or saddle up to sexy suede stilettos, but don’t dare to say that model Claudia Schiffer, and “Gossip Girl” star Taylor Momsen, don’t know where it’s at—they both started the fall wearing boots up to there with boldness.

ALDO in Westside Pavilion is our favorite haunt these days for these leg elongating lookers, (model is wearing knee high leather boots, Aldo, Westside Pavilion, $130).

Aldo carries knee high boots with prices ranging from $60 – $250 and when paired with tights and dresses, leggings and chunky sweaters, or your favorite slimming denim, will raise the roof.

#5 THE MUST-HAVE LIPS:  Red

Style Seen Daily Founder Crystal Fambrini.

Finally—what’s the accessory that compliments everything else you’ll buy this season?  Your sassy, bright red lips.  Pucker up and find the shade that lights up your complexion, and complements your hair and eye color.  If you have pink undertones to your skin, pick rowdy raspberry inspired reds, or blue-based plums.  If your skin is any shade of olive, choose brazen brown-reds or bubbly poppy hues.

If color matching makes you cringe, take a trip over to M.A.C at Westside Pavilion and ask one of their color experts to choose a true red for you.  This universally flattering neutral red is easy to fall for—it looks great on every face.  M.A.C’s color-rich lipsticks are $14.50 each.
