Spotted!: Nichole Richie bo-ho chic while finishing up her holiday shopping with her hubby Joel Madden in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hills Center on December 23 , 2011. Richie kept warm by layering a black fur Helmut Lang jacket over a white long-sleeved button down with a white and black patterned scarf. Ritchie literally made the look her own by adding her line House of Harlow 1960 cat-eye sunglasses and black Oxford platforms and added a pop of color with blue skinny jeans.

Find this fab jacket at Helmut Lang and shop House of Harlow 1960 for bo-ho accessories.

Bright jeans and jeggings are appearing on lots of famous gams and we predict this trend to increase into Spring and Summer ’12.

Spotted!: Nicole Richie wore a sequined  Halston kimono to the debut of her House of Harlow 1960 holiday-pop-up shop at Fred Segal in Los Angeles on November 19, 2011. She paired the dress with Norah snakeskin pumps, complimented the ensemble with chunky rings, bracelets and necklaces, and topped it all off with a pop of red from the croc Olivia clutch, all from House of Harlow 1960. In addition to the incredible music line up, SSD favorites include; Arcade Fire, Cold War Kids, Chemical Brothers, Kings of Leon, The Strokes, Black Keys, Interpol, She Wants Revenge, DJ Sven Vath, Kayne West and also Isabel Lucas’  boyfriends rocker Angus Stone, the scene was all about Coachella style.   While running around drinking VeeV in hand, we were able to dance to these amazing musicans, while also scoping out the fashion scene.

The most popular designers on at the festival were Zadig & Voltare, Current Elliott, Aldo Shoes, Joie, and Rag & Bone. Despite Lacoste, Mulberry and Burberry all having events on hand, the sights at the festival were less familiar this year than others, some up and coming Jeremy Scott designs as well as Camilla & Marc made their way onto girls, along with good old American brand Gap and tons of swimsuits by H&M, Zara and Roxy.

Alessandra Ambrosio

Victoria’s Secret Angel, and recent mother, was dancing to the music with some friends and her fiance Jamie Mazur. She wore a white Rebecca Taylor dress, Tolani Chakra scarf and Benjamin Eyewear Nicole sunglasses.

Kate Bosworth

Kate Bosworth, who was with her boyfriend Alexander Skarsgard, wore a Topshop American Flag tank top, paired with Current Elliott shorts and that eve changed into a flowing black Theyskens Theory Damia Dress with Joie shoes.  Every day she rocked her Ray-Ban aviator style sunglasses and loose hair.

Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie attended the Mulberry luncheon, wearing denim shorts paired with Mulberry “Annie” blouse and her very own House of Harlow 1960 “Jordana” sunglasses,  “Veronika” strappy wedges and a Mulberry small Heritage Bayswater bag.

Rihanna

Rihanna was in the audience during  Arcade Fire’s performance, wearing a camouflage jacket,  black top and jean shorts. Rihanna Tweeted: “Coachella! Fun times… Arcade Fire, u f**kin blew my mind! Felt like a kid again! U rock!!” And later that night attended Brent Bolthouse, 944 and Armani Exchange’s Carnival party off site.

Ashley Greene

“Twilight” actress Ashley Greene was with new boyfriend Jared Followill’s best friend, wearing a blue Hermanny by Vix sliding halter bikini top underneath an AllSaints Milla stripe vest with Garage  blue boyfriend shorts, and carried a Hobo Davina vintage leather handbag.

Katy Perry, perhaps the most elegant of all Coachella goers, wore a white vintage D&G lace long dress with a Mercy Delta Marylebone scarf and sunglasses.

Vanessa Hudgens

Sucker Punch Films lead Vanessa Hudgens wore a crocheted Unif Birkin skirt with Kettle black double wrap belt and a blue Jen’s Pirate booty  tube top, along with a Tori Praver tie, a Natalie B. Tibet turquoise coral pendant necklace and Love Child chain drop three feather earring.

As we head further into 2009 and the weather gets warmer, you will see more and more 60′s and 70′s inspired fashions in the form of floral peasant tops and long dresses and accessories like forehead bands. This look has been termed the “neo hippy.”

Bryon Williams, Nicole Richie, Andy LeCompte and Rachel Zoe

Bryon Williams, Nicole Richie, Andy LeCompte and Rachel Zoe.

After all the rumors about Nicole Richie and stylist Rachel Zoe, we were surprised to see the two posing for photos together at when we attended Andy LeCompte‘s West Hollywood Salon opening. Is it possible that LeCompte himself paved the way for a reconnection?

Regardless, LeCompte was so busying touring with Madonna, his salon went open for months before he could host a proper unveiling. Finally when he did, clients like Lindsay Lohan, Micha Barton and of course Nicole Richie all came out to support.

While Madonna was not on hand, LeCompte did reveal quite a few secrets of the popstar. We’ll share but first a little background - he opened the salon with business partner (and fellow stylist) Leanne Citrone,  the two hand picked everything from the “cute coffee cups” to the unique art on the walls by their favorite L.A. artist Paul Rusconi. The  artwork is vibrant and alluring on most every wall in the raw studio like salon, which is tucked behind L.A. fashion designer Jenni Kayne‘s store.

The hosts, LeCompte, Citrone and Kayne, had candy bar stations equipped with everything from Lolipops to Hershey’s kisses and the washing station sinks were all filled with ice and champagne, poured by typically attractive Angeleno bartenders. In addition to candy and cocktails, guests were given gift bags filled with Joico hair products and some lucky goers also claimed their own House of Harlow headpieces, designed by Nicole Richie and sold in the salon. Nicole sported a gold one herself.

Other clients such as Penelope Cruz, Jessica Alba, Kate Walsh and Fergie were not in attendance, but we’re told are frequent visitors. Now back to Madonna, if you want to get locks all sexy like her’s, LeCompte suggests adding texture by using Sunsilk Waves of Envy Sea Spray and then use either a Revlon 3 Barrel Jumbo Waver. Or if can’t get yourself an appointment to see LeCompte, get that sexy tousled look Madonna, Mischa and Lohan love, by using dry shampoo, a waterless way to freshen and restyle hair when you can’t indulge in a regular shampoo and blow out.

We took the advice and realized this was not only a great way to create that lusty look, but also a terrific soultion when you’re traveling, or rushing out the door with no time for proper primping.
