Heidi Klum, in NYC, wearing dark wash jeggings.

Denim is a must have wardrobe essential, the more the better.  However durable denim is, the styles do change and we here at Style Seen Daily have put together this fall denim report to help you continue to be a denim doll.  Trends for fall denim are a continuation of summer styles with an edgy twist. Trendsetters and celebrities like Beyonce, Heidi KlumKhloe Kardashian and Leighton Meester are rocking the latest in denim styles like tapered skinny  jeansjeggings and the boyfriend look with lose jeans cuffed and chambray shirts as the weather turns cooler.

The Skinny On Skinny Jeans

Beyonce rocking the gray jegging trend.

Skinny jeans are still a hot denim piece. Darker washes update this style, with colors ranging from gray and black to acid wash.  Triple threat super star Beyonce is known to be a fan of jeggings and is rocking the grey jegging trend in the picture above. Jeggings are a type of skinny jean, it’s a mix between leggings and denim.  How to wear skinny jeans: Pair with a tunic style top for a flattering look.  Body shapes that look best in skinny jeans: Boyish frames and those with longer legs.

Tapered leg styles are the revamped version of jeggings for those who do not want to the jean to be too skintight.Darker stonewashed styles have been popping up in stores, making it feel very 90s.   We like this pair here made by Denim of Virtue.

The Boyfriend Look, But Better

Kim Kardashian seen here in slimmer boyfriend jeans.

The boyfriend cut is the alternative to jeggings. This time around the boyfriend cut has been modified to a straighter leg, making the style more flattering compared to the baggier styles of the past. Rolling the cuff of the jean is a good way to transition the look from summer to fall. Reality celebrity Kim Kardashian wears cuffed boyfriend jeans out and about in Los Angeles, proving that this style works on curvy bodies as well.

The Gap makes a few great boyfriend jeans, starting at $69.50, which is definitely easy on everyone’s pockets.

Leighton Meester wearing one of the hottest denim trends of the season, a chambray shirt.

Chambray shirts are one of the hottest denim trends this fall that can be a staple in anyone’s wardrobe regardless of style and age.   It looks like it could be your lover’s shirt — but more tailored. Gossip Girl‘s Leighton Meester has been incorporating the chambray shirt into her more casual looks when she hits the town.

For an ediger look, the chambray shirt looks great with a black or dark blue jegging. Belting the shirt helps to create a wonderful silhouette.  Prepsters can incorporate a lighter chambray shirt, for example the shirt below from J. Crew $98.
