Talking with the bride to be on why she wanted to give her bridesmaids a Stranger Change Her makeover.
Our first stop was Two Birds Bridesmaid Dresses private Los Angeles Studio to try on dresses for the big day. The great thing about Two Birds, and why I decided to take the girls there, is because you can wear one dress numerous ways. All of us are different sizes, have different shapes — and these dresses really cater to bridesmaids by making you all look wonderful. Pick a color, a style and then they will show you several different ways you can wear the dress to best fit you.
Make up artist Michelle Brione gave the girls beauty tips.
Then it was off to the Jeffrey Kara salon in Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood to to meet the cut, color and style team as well as make up artist Michelle Brione to get some make up tips and ticks of the trade so all could look amazing on the wedding day and every day.
At Jeffrey Kara Salon in West Hollywood.
And then, with the dresses, make up and hair set — it was time to reconvene at KTLA Studios for the live reveal.

Host Crystal Fambrini (l) with Producer Janet Hill (r) with our Stranger Change Her Wedding Make Over Winner Tammy at The Grove, Los Angeles. (BEFORE make over)
Our Stranger Change Her series is back! And this time it is all centered around weddings. Watch our wedding make over with Kammy, pictured above in the BEFORE dress. Kammy bought her wedding dress on ebay for $100 and was not happy with it. As you can see from the picture, it is very heavy on her and very hot — not ideal for Kammy’s wedding which is taking place on a boat in Mexico. Kammy decided to have her wedding take place during a Disney Cruise, as she works in animation and always has been a big fan of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. So, it was our duty to “Cinderalla” Kammy. Take a look at this magic…

Meet our Stranger Change Her Lesley of Moreno Valley. Leslie is a busy wife and mother of two boys, one of whom is autistic and requires extra care and time. This wonderful mom wanted a make over to spice up her rare and very important date nights with her husband. What a lucky man!
But before the make over, Lesley had to stand in the “Stranger Chamber” at The Oaks Shopping Center to get shoppers opinions on her style and learn what people thought she should change.

It wasn’t difficult to find a vast variety of looks that suited her due to her amazing figure and magnetic personality. The very bubbly Lesley was open to anything and everything. Fortunately The Oaks has it all!
Stranger Change Her Lesley rocking her new look!
Crystal Fambrini and the stylist team agreed on a look that highlighted Lesley’s assets. We went with a black silk top over a green-blue cami and a knee length skirt with a pleaded back from Forever 21. We topped it off with black booties for a sophisticated-chic feel.Francesca’s Collections is our go to for accessories because of it’s amazing variety and taste. We went with black and gold accessories that included: a ring, earrings, bangles, and a handbag. An extra treat was metal -framed Ray Ban sunglasses from Academy Optical used to complete the polished look.
Lesley at KTLA getting pampered by Sephora PRO artist Erik Soto. Sephora flew Erik in from New York Fashion Week to take part in this special Stranger Change Her.
Even though shoppers wanted longer hair, we thought a shorter look would better suite Leslie. Leslie’s new ultra stylish bob was done at Regis Hair Salon and her fresh face made up by Erik Soto, a Sephora PRO Beauty Team artist.
Let’s take a look at Lesley’s before and after:
Stranger Change Her Lesley BEFORE and AFTER.
It was a blast helping Lesley with her fashion frenzy. She looked fabulous and appeared confident as she did a sassy cat walk onto the KTLA stage for her reveal. The new look is icing on the cake for Lesley’s husband on date nights. You’re welcome hubby!

Thank you to The Oaks Shopping Center — Forever 21, Francesca’s Collections, Academy Optical, Papilio, Regis Salon, and Sephora for making this possible.
Before Katherine's transformation at the Lakewood Center, in Lakewood Calfiornia.
Katherine of West Valley is in charge of putting together a huge annual black tie charity event – she is very picky about the glamorous event — and is convinced that wearing her old high school prom dress is still OK. Her high school prom dress is from 31 years ago! While Katherine is low on dresses, she has more than enough purses to wear a different one every day for a year! Katherine came to us because she wanted to do something new and fun with her style. And she didn’t trust her friends with giving her the truth. Katherine was more than ready for our Stranger Change Her one day make over, and Crystal Fambrini had to problem taking that prom dress away.
First up, Katherine stepping into the Stranger Chamber, this time at Lakewood center, as shoppers told us their thoughts on what we should change about Katherine.

Crystal took Katherine to JC Penneyand Forever 21 to find her gala outfit — proving that looking glam didn’t have to cost a fortune and Katherine could spend the money she saved on a purse (which you know she loved).

With Katherine’s new wardrobe settled, it was time to move onto the ultimate fashion accessories, hair and makeup. With help from our friends at the Shiseido counter at Macys and the Regis Hair Salon, Katherine was transforming from mediocre mom to a black tie gala girl.

Lisa of Pomona, a self proclaimed “tom boy” and military veteran, had been pushed by family and friends to do some kind of makeover for the last decade. She hadn’t been in a dress for 8 years and chooses sports bras and sneakers as her staple wardrobe items. Lisa wanted a change so her daughter could see her Mom in another light. Plus, she wouldn’t mind scoring a date here and there as well. Our Stranger Change Her was the perfect fit.
First up, putting Lisa in our “Stranger Chamber” at Westside Pavilion — where shoppers shared their insight on what they thought I should do with Lisa’s one day make over.

"Stranger Change Her" pick Alice's reveal (Alice in blue) with friends and family, SSD Co Founder Crystal Fambrini, and KTLA Anchor Jessica Holmes at the KTLA Morning Show.
Alice of Glendora is a mother of two, a professional volunteer, an artist and VERY eager for a change as she was sick and tired of people thinking her kids were her grandkids! Can you blame her? So,Style Seen Daily and KTLA joined forces to help Alice find a new look and gain the self-confidence she needed and deserved.

In one day we gave Alice a new wardrobe, a new hairstyle, and new makeup. But first, Alice had to stand in our “Stranger Change Her” at the Westside Pavillion mall for one hour while shoppers critiqued her look and told us what kind of looks would be best for her.
Stranger Change Her #1 at Westside Pavilion.
Watch Alice’s “before” here:
The launch of Stranger Change-Her was a huge success as Alice wowed her friends and family with an incredible new look and a great sense of confidence.
Watch Alice’s “after” here:
Alice’s outfit, a blue structured blouse, black pants, stylish heeled clogs, and beaded necklace were from Lane Bryant at Westside Pavillion. Crystal also surprised Alice with a Michael Kors White jacket from Macy’s at Westside Pavilion.

We made sure to find Alice clothes that accentuated her positives and were more fitted than her usual painting tees and jeans. We also tried to get her out of her comfort zone of sneakers and drab colors, so the clogs and cobalt blue shirt were a perfect fit for her.

Her hair was colored and styled at the Gavert Atelier Salon in Beverly Hills. They took the critique of the mall shoppers who said she should stay blonde but go a shade darker. The cut and color are manageable and Alice told us that she loves it. She got her eyebrows shaped and make up done by Valerie from Valerie of Beverly Hills – all this shaved off years on her age!
Alice’s primary complaint of receiving comments that she looked like her kids’ grandmother, rather than Mom is now gone!

Her children Sarah, 14, and Jacob, 11, love their Mom’s new look. “She looks different… in a good way,” Jacob said about his newly stylish mother. Julie Henry, Alice’s girl scout troupe co-leader thought Alice’s reveal was fantastic. ”She deserved it, she does so much for everybody else all the time, so its nice for her to have something for herself.”
All of Alice's friends, family, and girl scouts, were so surprised to see her new look, and they loved it. Photo Credit: SSD
In the end, Alice loved the experience and now knows how to shop for “the right things,” she said. She took the advice from the strangers like a champ and was able to turn herself from drab to fab.

Some say your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and the wedding gown, well that’s arguably THE MOST important dress of your life. So, could you imagine having the public choose your gown? Well, that is exactly what Los Angeles TimesAssistant EditorAllison Kornberg has chosen to do, letting people just like you and I make the vote for her gown and other essential wedding decisions on her “Plan My Wedding” blog.
Style Seen Daily Co Founder Crystal Fambrini appeared on The KTLA Morning Show with Jessica Holmes to show Allison three options for wedding dresses and accessories. Wedding linesAalia Bridal Couture, Ullaa Maija Coutureand Angel Sanchez each provided a dress. Crystal went shopping at Westside Pavilion and The Los Cerritos Centerand pulled diamonds from Zales, pearls from Ben Bridge, and costume jewelry fromNordstrom.
It’s time to make some decisions, and Allison needs our votes to figure out which dress she will be wearing walking down the aisle.
Watch the “Crystal Cam: Behind The Scenes at KTLA for Allison’s Wedding Dresses Segment” here…
And here is the KTLA live video…
Ivory Gown by Aalia Bridal Couture.
Couture Bridal Designer Nanaz Hatami created the gorgeous Aalia Bridal dress and was with us behind the scenes helping fit the models. She told us she got her inspiration of designing when she worked for SAKS in the 80′s in the wedding department and scoped out all the incredible pieces from various designers. Nanaz has had the honor to work with Valentino and Oscar De La Renta. Making elegant wedding gowns is not the only thing Nanaz does, evening wear and mother of the bride is also part of her line. Bride to be Allison described Hatami’s dress as “enchanting” and stated “even my grandma, the toughest judge of the whole brood, said it oozed my personality.” The couture gown is priced at $2500.
The petal embellished gown and jewels looked amazing on model Barbara. Accessories by Ben Bridge Jeweler, the necklace, Freshwater cultured pearl necklace 14K yellow gold priced at $499.00 and Freshwater Cultured Pearl Earrings 14K accented with cultured seed pearls, in 14K yellow gold priced at $199.00. Allison cannot go wrong with this look for her big day, it’s truly breathtaking.
Model Barbara wearing jewelry by Ben Bridge Bridal.
Will Allison wear this dress by Ulla Maija Couture?
This uniquely crafted gown called ”Stephanie” is by designer Anna Maier of Ulla Maija Couture. Each dress is custom made for each bride. Allison loved how this gown was “three or four dresses in one depending on the angle you looked at it,”and told us she “melted in it” when she put it on. The beautiful draping and exquisite fabrics — dutch satin and italien taffeta– makes this gown very luxurious.
So, have you fallen in love with this gown? The Stephanie Gown is available at SAKS in Beverly Hills and the designer Anna Maier will be there in person on August 14, in case you are looking for a designer. The Stephanie is priced at $4,900.
And what girl doesn’t love a little sparkle, Crystal paired diamonds from Zales: The Diamond Store to this dress for an extra pop. Diamond teardrop earrings, priced at $2,400.
How about some flower power too, hand embroidered with Swarovski crystals this brooch completes the dress, also can go in brides hair.
Diamond teardrop earrings by Zales & beautiful hand embroidered brooch.
Model Luba in a Angel Sanchez Gown.
“Simple yet elegant” Allison told us of the Angel Sanchez off white gown. The designer Angel Sanchez is know for his elegant designs and architectural flare, also keeping in mind a feminine glow with a touch of drama to each dress. It is a beautifully crafted piece of art made of fabrics. The dress is priced at $2,860.
We added some extra glow to this piece with accessories from Nordstoms. The Nadri chandelier earrings priced at $138 and Nadri Bangles priced at $100.
Celebrites like Eva Longoria, Brooke Shields and Salma Hayek are also fans of this designer for their big day, because of the way the dress celebrates a women’s body. Focusing on the structure of the dress and keeping in mind, “less is more.”
