Lexi Ainsworth

The 2010 Daytime Emmy’s held at the Hilton in Las Vegas, Nevada was a source for some classic tuxes and fabulous gowns to fit the special event.  Here are a few looks from the soap stars that we here at Style Seen Daily especially liked…

Young starlet Lexi Ainsworth from General Hospital, pictured above, came to the event dressed in a classic black gown – but with a twist. The dress is accented with glitter and and feathers and really makes her beauty shine.  And speaking of shine, check out this next actor.

Billy Miller

Billy Miller actor from the Young and the Restless looked very handsome in a shiny classic black suit. He took home an EMMY for Outstanding Supporting Actor.

Kelly Monaco

General Hospital star Kelly Monaco looked hot in this nude dress with heart shaped top. The color popped against her summer tan.

Julie Berman

General Hospital actress Julie Berman looked both adorable and sexy holding her EMMY for Outstanding Younger Actress.  Her white mini dress with black and purple accents felt fresh and fun.

Greg Rikaart

Sexy soap opera actor Greg Rikaart from Young & The Restless kept it simple and loose, dressing all in black.

Plain vanilla is basic no more; L.A. is awash in the season’s new “nude” mellow hues, and the clear creams, dusty taupes, glowing pinks, and calming grays are being mixed and matched for a trend forward look that is simply, “wow”.

This neutral palate takes a confident backseat and let’s your most prominent feature drive – your healthy, glowing skin. But take heed, too much of any one color can lean into bland without skipping a beat; this combination of muted tones should be lined with something lively – a pop of cobalt, a hint of raspberry, or a lick of lemon.

Pictured above are 9 Spring 09 trend tips for her.

Here’s a quick list of the Spring trends for her you can now find in the stores…

1.  Borrowed From The Boys:  Stay ahead of this trend and get a deconstructed jacket now so you can wear it all season long and into next year as well.  With a deconstructed jacket, fit is everything.  Also we here at Style Seen Daily have been seeing some trendsetters throw a wide belt over this look as well and pairing it with tight pants for a more night time sexy cutting edge look. Can also wear it with jeans and a crisp white shirt for work wear, over a floral dress to give a feminine look a more edgy feel, with short shorts to show off your legs…  this jacket can be worn with almost everything and you will be seeing it everywhere this Spring.

2.  In The Nude:  Pick up a pair of nude shoes to help elongate your legs.

3.  Statement Jewelry:  Costume jewelry to real gems, the more jewelry the better.  Remember Heidi Klum at the Oscars with her huge earrings and numerous bracelets?  It’s not about wearing jewelry as a back drop, it’s having the jewelry take center stage.

4.  Jumpsuits & Rompers:  A take from the 80s, these onesies are quick to throw on and help you look put together fast — sort of like what the wrap dress did several seasons ago.

5.  Platforms:  70s inspired designs are back in full force, including retro platforms.  Designers are taking the “high” in high heeled shoes very seriously this season.  Ladies, it’s time to reach new heights.

6.  Romantic Ruffles:   Spring is also about love, and ruffles help to give you that soft, flirty feminine appeal.

7.  Blue Oceans:  Take note, blue is a popular color this season.

8.  The Goddess Dress: Spring 09′s “it” dress.

9.  Neo Hippy:  Again a take from the 70s era, loose flowing peasant tops are gaining momentum.
