All eyes were on Alicia Silverstone as she graced the red carpet for the premiere of her new film “Butter” at the Toronto Film Festival yesterday. The new mom dazzled in Proenza Schouler’s shimmery “Sparkle In My Eye” dress.  ”Butter” co-stars Ashley Greene, Jennifer Garner, and Olivia Wilde were also in attendance, but there was no doubt that this was Alicia’s fashion moment. This dress normally retails for $1,825, but fortunately fashionistas ready for their own moment in the spotlight can rent this number for just $250 on RentTheRunway.com

If you already thought Olivia Wilde was a head-turner, look here. With Cowboys & Aliens, Ms. Wilde grabs the spotlight with star power that’s being compared to Faye Dunaway and heart that keeps leading her back to Haiti. Leslie Gornstein gets the scoop from Ms. Wilde, while Ruven Afanador photographs her in crape couture styled by Hayley Atkin in the Los Angeles Times Magazine’s July cover story. This issue also features Cowboys & Aliens co-star Walton Goggins in the monthly Q+LA, the Image fashion report, a truth-is-stranger-than-fiction story about going undercover with the ATF, a curated guide to what’s new in San Francisco and much more.  Click here for a sneak peak at the cover story.

Garrett wears a super tight glowing suit throughout the movie.  He told us that they had to cyber scan his body to make the black outfit, which he said is “tights as hell,” and covered in lights.   The cyber scan creates a suit out of every curve and any definition you have on your body.  He revealed to us that when he would sweat sometimes the lights on his outfit would give him “a buzz.”  Oh oh.

Garrett poses with Tron models at Comicon 2010.

Synopsis:  TRON is a 3D high—tech adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (GARRETT HEDLUND), the tech—savvy 27—year—old son of Kevin Flynn (JEFF BRIDGES), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant (OLIVIA WILDE), father and son embark on a life—and—death journey across a visually—stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

Gerard Butler, Paul Haggis and Lee Daniels at Artists for Peace & Justice hosted by Brioni & Vanity Fair

Brioni and Vanity Fair supported Artists for Peace & Justice, dressing celebrity attendees like host Gerard Butler, Ben Stiller, Jon Hamm, and Paul Haggis. Other guests included; Producer Ryan Kavanaugh, Actress Olivia Wilde, Cuba Gooding Jr, Diane Lane, Hayden Panettiere, Kristen Bell, Maria Bello, and Terri Seymour. The fashionable crowd aimed to raise awareness and funds for Haiti.

Artists for Peace & Justice, established in early 2009, is a fundraising effort founded by Paul Haggis and friends that encourages peace and social justice and addresses issues of poverty and enfranchisement in communities around the world. The organization’s immediate goal is to build schools to serve the poorest areas of Haiti, providing an education, hot meals, clean drinking water and regular medical treatments to the children living in the slums. www.artistsforpeaceandjustice.com

It just shows you that once again, the most stylish people are those who are concerned about the scene around the world and using fashion and media to bring together hope is something we can all feel good about. When you buy Brioni you know you’re buying a product that gives back to those in need. Luxury can in fact make a difference.

GQ Men of the Year Obama

GQis perhaps the most powerful men’s fashion magazine, so when their West Coast Editor Chris Huvane threw this year’s Men of The Year Party, many of Hollywood’s elite came out to celebrate. Chris hosted the party at the infamous Chateau Marmont, talented men honored on the cover issues included Obama, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mad Men’s Jon Hamm, and Michael Phelps. When the men arrived, they did their red carpet duties and were swept in the hotel’s outdoor garden area. Sadly Obama could not make it, but the rest of the cover stars were present. Other guests included; Aaron Eckhart, Outkast’s ever fashionable Big Boi, Brian Austin Green, Elisha Cuthbert, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Jason Statham, Jerry Ferrara, Jon Hamm, Jimmy Kimmel, Kevin Connolly, Matthew Fox, Megan Fox, Olivia Wilde, Rashida Jones, Rosario Dawson, Sarah Silverman, and Zac Efron.  We spent the evening with Executive Editor Adam Rappaport who introduced us to a great T- Shirt company, Bassinger, that he swears by, check out the photo below, he shared to Style Seen Daily that it’s the best shirt you could give a guy.

Kelly, who has always loved the music scene, teamed up with Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue and created a new fashion line ROYAL UNDERGROUNDStarworks Co-Founder James Grant” The rocker chic line has some super soft cashmere hoodies we picked up and a full men’s line available in stores like Barney’s and Neiman Marcus. Along with us that night was also hotelier Jason Pomeranc of Thompson Hotels and James Grant, co-founder of Starworks. Men were decked out in Dolce & Gabana, Tom Ford, Prada, Gucci and even some. This is the one night then men really outshine the ladies.
Our dear friend, Degen Pener, Editor in Chief of Angeleno Magazine, was enjoying the evening and talking politics with fellow party goers. We caught up with him and insisted he pose for a photo with us, he did not mention who he was wearing, but we do know that his light blue button down and dark blue blazer really brought out his bright blue eyes!

Guests enjoyed cocktails and tray passed Chateau specials like Macaroni Balls, but at the end of the night, as we waited for our cars at the valet, a big In-n-Out burger truck passed out delicious food to everyone!
