Called the “perfectly imperfect camera” the Holga Camera, originated in Hong Kong during the early 80′s. Since then the Holga Camera has become one of the most sought after cameras for those needing artistic relief. The iconic camera produces square format shots, that are sharp in the center and fuzzy along the edges creating a vignette style of photography. Holga’s are both plastic and fantastic, and come in an array of  colorful designs.

Holga Cameras come in a variety of fun colors and designs

The Holga Camera concept is simple – a minimalistic, inexpensive camera that works off medium format 120 film. TheHolga contains only the bare essentials for photo mechanisms, and provides a cheap and accessible alternative for students and photography enthusiasts to dip their toes into the otherwise very expensive avenue of medium format photography.

Native Angeleno Danny Roberts began drawing when he was just a little boy, he has been said to draw for 15 hours at a time, hands swelling so bad he had to stop.  The hardwork paid off when at just 13 years old, he and a friend began their own clothing company which they would run till he went to Cal Poly for Photography and then eventually the Fashion Design school at the Academy of Art in San Francisco.  In 2007 he was honored by being awarded as the first featured portfolio of graduates o the WGSN Generation Now website.  Inspired by the Chanel 2007 runway show, Danny created the T-Shirt shown above, which is available for purchase on his website: igorandandre.blogspot.com/ and has become a favorite with the fashionista’s from New York to Los Angeles.
